Role Overview:
The RMO will be responsible for direct patient care in the ICU and step-down units of partner hospitals, working in close collaboration with the remote organisation intensivist team (Care Center). This role combines bedside expertise with a technology-enabled model to ensure high standards of patient safety, timely interventions, and protocol adherence. Working hours can vary from 192 to 208 hours.
Key Responsibilities:
● Provide bedside care for ICU and high-dependency patients, including admissions, daily rounds, procedures, and emergencies.
● Collaborate with Organization remote intensivist team to implement management plans and protocols.
● Perform critical care procedures when required (intubation, central line insertion, arterial lines, basic ventilator management).
● Ensure timely communication with patient families in coordination with hospital staff.
● Work with nursing teams and RMOs to maintain protocol-driven ICU practices.
● Participate in Morbidity & Mortality reviews, quality checks, and audits to improve ICU performance.
● Engage in academic sessions, training, and continuous professional development supported by Organization.
Qualifications:
● MBBS or certified FMGE with ICU/ ER experience
● Valid Medical Council Registration (State or National).
● Prior ICU/critical care experience preferred but not mandatory (training will be provided).
● Strong clinical judgment, procedural skills, and teamwork orientation.
● Comfortable working with technology-enabled care delivery models.
● Willingness to work in rotational shifts/ roster-based ICU schedules
