Our success comes from doing things differently. As we expand our portfolio of qualifications, we are seeking a skilled and experienced Coordinator to support the Assessment Delivery team within TQUK.


About the role

The Assessment Coordinator will play a key role in supporting the functions within the Standards and Verification pillar. The postholder will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, consistency across assessment series, co-ordination of live delivery processes and effective standard-setting processes. You will coordinate the activities of Examiners and work collaboratively with internal departments and stakeholders to uphold the validity, reliability and comparability of assessments. ​

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver outstanding customer service to TQUKs customers.
  • Be responsible for the timely delivery of assessments and the collation of assessment evidence.
  • Coordinate and monitor marking for external and/or internal assessment windows.
  • Coordinate meetings relating to standard setting (eg. Awarding).
  • Prepare and present data and learner evidence to support awarding meetings.
  • Monitor assessment performance using qualitative and quantitative data, recommending improvements to support validity and reliability.
  • Work closely with Chiefs and Chairs in setting and maintaining standards.
  • Review and proof reports relating to awarding.
  • Co-ordinate any EAR’s (Enquiries About Results) for escalation.
  • Co-ordinate the submission of any malpractice/maladministration reports for escalation to the centre compliance team.
  • Develop and maintain public facing key dates schedules.
  • Keep accurate and up to date records in line with GDPR and internal processes.
  • Provide up-to-date information, advice and guidance on TQUK’s Assessment Delivery activities to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all appropriate systems and procedures meet TQUK’s requirements and escalate issues 
  • Act as a liaison between Operations and Awarding teams.
  • Contribute to an environment of continuous improvement including identification of streamlining processes.
  • Respond to enquiries in line with SLAs and seeking input from other teams when required. ​

Key Requirements

Essential

  • An interest in vocational education and assessment.
  • Knowledge of working within a regulated Awarding Organisation
  • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to interpret complex data.
  • Be highly organised and able to prioritise your workload. 
  • Experience of working in a regulated environment with a constant eye to maintaining and improving regulatory compliance. 
  • Understanding of the assessment and awarding cycle including creating public facing key dates schedules.
  • Be comfortable working to deadlines and set standards and operating procedures. 
  • Ideally have an understanding of Ofqual General Conditions of Recognition and how these impact on TQUK.
  • Efficient and effective data and file management; inputting, filing, and monitoring of data.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office including Excel and open to using e-technologies for collaboration. 
  • A passion for continuous improvement and high standards.​

Desirable

  • Experience with on demand assessment and digital assessment platforms. 
  • Familiarity with TQUK’s product suite and awarding body operations. 
  • Experience in  leading examiner, verification and moderation teams.
