Job description

Job Summary

The Manager/Senior Manager, Field Operations will serve as the primary operational resource supporting Commercial Field personnel (Market Development, Sales, Patient Access Managers, etc.), responsible for overseeing the design and operations of Veeva CRM, sales reporting and analytics, administration of incentive compensation programs, and overall sales administration to drive field performance. Working closely with the Senior Director of Commercial Analytics, the Manager/Senior Manager will contribute to sales force effectiveness initiatives such as territory design and optimization, assessment and integration of new data sources, and translating analytical outputs into actionable field guidance.

Core Responsibilities

  • Sales, Medical, and Patient Access CRM Management
    • Oversight of CRM configuration, operations, data quality & governance
    • Manage territory & account alignments
    • Train field personnel and drive adoption
    • Integrate with data feeds and reporting tools
    • Oversee Master Data Management process through outsourced partner & Veeva Network/OpenData
  • Sales Analytics, Data, & Reporting
    • Support design of sales dashboards for leadership
    • Onboard new data sources
    • Track KPIs
    • Analyze national and subnational data to identify trends, opportunities, etc.
    • Support S&OP and forecasting cycles
  • Incentive Compensation 
    • Administer IC plans for Commercial field teams
    • Calculate attainment, accruals & payouts
    • Maintain alignment with compliance guidelines
    • Manage plan disputes and exceptions
  • Sales Force Effectiveness
    • Support launch readiness and field deployment
    • Evaluate targeting mechanics including, deployment, operations, and feedback
    • Implement and manage new data-driven tactics via field tools
  • Field Administration
    • Manage field rosters
    • Onboard new sales hires operationally
    • Support national/regional meetings & training
    • Coordinate and oversee support for Rare Disease Specialist team (tech, CRM, data, etc.)
  • Other duties and projects as assigned

Required Qualifications

  • 4โ€“6 years of experience in sales operations, commercial operations, or a related function within the pharmaceutical or biotech industry
  • Prior experience in a small or startup rare disease commercial environment strongly preferred
  • Understanding of the rare disease commercial model โ€” small, targeted field forces, specialty pharmacy distribution, and patient-level data dynamics
  • Strong knowledge of Veeva CRM with the ability to manage data quality, territory alignments, and basic system configuration
  • Hands-on experience administering IC plans, including calculations, accruals, payouts, and dispute resolution preferred
  • Proficiency in Excel; experience with reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities 
  • Comfortable in ambiguity and able to build processes 

Work Schedule and Location

  • This role is remote within the US and requires availability to work US Eastern Time Zone.
  • Travel to US HQ outside of Philadelphia is occassionally required.

Savaraโ€™s compensation for this role will include a base salary, bonus, and equity. This role will be filled at the Manager or Senior Manager level. The base salary range for this role is $110,000 to $140,000.
