Job description

The business wants answers. You're the person who finds them.

There's a story hiding behind every forecast miss, pipeline conversion shift, productivity trend, and retention metric. You don't just report the numbers. You connect the dots, challenge assumptions, and help leaders make better decisions.

You speak both Finance and GTM.

You can sit down with a Sales VP to discuss quota capacity, partner with Marketing on CAC efficiency, help Customer Success leaders think through coverage models, and then turn those conversations into analytical frameworks that influence how the company invests.

If this sounds like you, you've come to the right place.

At Expel, you'll serve as the Finance business partner supporting Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, RevOps, and Partnerships. You'll help shape how we scale our go-to-market engine while working directly with executive leaders responsible for driving growth.

What Expel Can Do For You

  • Give you direct influence over some of the most important growth decisions in the company
  • Partner you with Revenue, Marketing, Customer Success, and RevOps leaders who value data-driven decision making
  • Allow you to build the forecasting, capacity planning, and investment frameworks that shape how we scale
  • Give you the freedom to challenge assumptions and improve how we operate
  • Support an AI-augmented workflow where modern tools help increase leverage and reduce manual work
  • Deepen your understanding of SaaS growth, unit economics, and the cybersecurity market

What You Can Do For Expel

  • Own budget-to-actual reporting, quarterly forecasts, and annual planning for Sales, Marketing, Customer Success, RevOps, and Partnerships

  • Partner with Revenue Operations and Sales Leadership on quota planning, capacity models, sales compensation analytics, and pipeline forecasting
  • Help Customer Success leadership optimize coverage models, retention forecasting, and customer growth strategies
  • Build analytical frameworks that help leaders make better decisions around hiring, spend, and resource allocation
  • Lead headcount planning and vendor reviews across your portfolio
  • Deliver clear variance analysis that explains the "why" behind business performance
  • Use AI tooling and automation to increase analytical throughput and reduce manual work

What You Should Bring With You

  • 5+ years of progressive FP&A experience, including at least 2 years supporting a GTM organization
  • Strong understanding of SaaS metrics including ARR, LTV/CAC, retention, sales productivity, pipeline conversion, and sales efficiency
  • Experience partnering directly with VP and executive-level stakeholders
  • Exceptional financial modeling and business analysis skills
  • Proficiency with Adaptive Insights (or similar), Excel/Google Sheets, Salesforce, and BI platforms such as Domo, Tableau, or Qlik
  • Experience working with SQL or customer-level data is a plus
  • Comfort operating in fast-moving environments where ambiguity is common and business impact matters
  • A Bachelor's degree or a compelling story
