Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Senior QA Test Lead to lead the testing function for a large-scale insurance transformation initiative. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring an individual who can define testing strategy while actively building and executing the framework that supports programme delivery.

The successful candidate will bring deep expertise in quality assurance, test automation, and transformation programmes, with the ability to operate effectively within a lean team environment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building testing capabilities from the ground up and working closely with business and technology stakeholders to deliver high-quality outcomes.

This is a remote contract opportunity with a preference for candidates located on the U.S. East Coast. Quarterly travel to Waco, Texas is required.

• Lead the QA function across a large-scale insurance transformation or migration program, defining and executing the overall testing strategy and approach.
  
• Design, build, implement, and execute testing frameworks, processes, and governance models using Selenium and other modern automation tools.
  
• Lead all phases of testing, including test design, environment setup, execution, defect management, reporting, and quality assurance activities.
  
• Work hands-on within a lean team environment, contributing directly to testing delivery while guiding junior resources and stakeholders.
  
• Balance and optimize manual and automated testing approaches to support business-critical delivery objectives.
  

Requirements

Requirements:

• +10 years of experience leading and performing QA and testing activities within complex transformation, migration, or modernization program.
  
• +10 years of experience of hands-on experience setting testing direction and executing test design, framework build, environment setup, and test execution activities.
  
• +10 years of experience in leading and performing QA and testing initiatives, executing test design, building automated test frameworks within Selenium, understanding both automated and manual methodologies, etc.
  
• Strong experience building and scaling automated testing frameworks using Selenium and comparable automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress, Tosca, UFT, or TestComplete.
  
• Experience working in small teams where individuals perform multiple roles to drive delivery and establish QA best practices.
  
• Deep understanding of both automated and manual testing methodologies, including situations where manual testing remains a significant component of delivery.
  

• Group Insurance or Worksite Insurance experience.
  
• Life Insurance experience.
  
• FAST platform experience.
  
• Experience establishing QA functions within transformation program.
