Job description

As a Senior Data Analyst at Aspire, you will support enterprise reporting and data analytics for an evolving project with complex, sensitive datasets (e.g., salary data). You will partner with cross-functional teams to build and maintain Tableau dashboards, perform analytical deep dives using Python, and own data cleaning responsibilities. This role is ideal for someone curious, willing to learn, and with strong hands-on experience translating business questions into actionable insights.

You will work with modern data platforms including Snowflake (or BigQuery) and AWS, while collaborating with Data Engineers who handle API automation—though you are expected to understand the underlying data flow.

Note: This is a remote position open exclusively to candidates based in Latin America.

[What you'll do]

  • Build, maintain, and enhance enterprise-level dashboards using Tableau, working with complex and sensitive datasets.

  • Perform analytical deep dives using Python – take a business question, drive it to insights, and deliver outcomes.

  • Apply basic statistical methods (approx. 10% of workload) to support data analysis and decision-making.

  • Own data cleaning and preparation tasks to ensure high-quality, reliable datasets for reporting and analysis.

  • Write and optimize SQL queries in Snowflake (or BigQuery) for data extraction, validation, and troubleshooting.

  • Understand data flows from source systems to reporting, even when API automation is handled by Data Engineers.

  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver insights.

  • Ensure data accuracy and consistency across dashboards and ad-hoc analyses.

  • Document data definitions, logic, and reporting processes for maintainability and knowledge sharing.

  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and support the evolving needs of the project with flexibility and curiosity.

Requirements

[What you'll need]

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related field.

  • 5+ years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a similar analytical role.

  • Must-have skills:

    • Python for analytical work (data cleaning, exploration, and insights).

    • Tableau for dashboard development and enterprise reporting.

    • SQL for data querying and validation.

    • Snowflake (or equivalent experience with BigQuery).

    • Python data cleaning (pandas or similar).

  • Strong ability to translate business questions into analysis plans and actionable results.

  • Results-oriented with a proven track record of drawing meaningful conclusions from data.

  • Experience working with complex and/or sensitive datasets (e.g., salary, HR data is a plus).

  • Familiarity with AWS or similar cloud environments.

  • Basic understanding of statistics and when to apply it.

  • Nice-to-have:

    • Experience with HR data or other sensitive data domains.

    • Understanding of API data flows (even if hands-off on automation).

  • Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Self-starter mindset with curiosity and willingness to learn in an evolving project environment.

Note: This is a remote position open exclusively to candidates based in Latin America.
