Job Summary: We are seeking a Senior Program Manager to join our growing Solid Rocket Motor Team. This is a full-time position operating on a 9/80 schedule. The Senior Program Manager will be responsible for planning, monitoring, and managing programs from initiation through completion, overseeing key activities such as resourcing, staffing, progress reporting, and overall program performance. Essential Functions:
  • Has P&L responsibilities for specific program(s)
  • Participates in all aspects of corporate programs, including planning, budgeting, staffing, and performance.
  • Liaise with functional departments throughout the organization and tracks utilizationto ensure milestones are completed on time or in accordance with established standards.
  • Evaluates program effectiveness by collecting and analyzing data in support of key performance metrics.
  • Ensures that activities are in compliance with organizational policies and any relevant external regulations.
  • Provides reports and updates to senior management or other stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
  • Required education and experience: Associate's Degree and 8-10 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
  • Critical professional related technical skills; computer skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Preferred education and experience: Bachelor's Degree
  • Discipline/Major: Business degree preferred
  • Knowledge, skills & abilities: Oral and written communication skills. Ability to build collaborative relationships. Detail oriented. Ability to meet deadlines. Project management skills.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time.
  • Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential.
  • Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities.
Travel Requirements: Up to 25% travel likely. Pay Range (USD): $136,000-$184,000 PTO, Holiday, and Family Leave: Employees will receive 11 paid holidays and 120 hours of PTO annually and up to 3 weeks paid family leave. _____________________________: The above statements describe the general nature and level of work only.
