Short Story is seeking a dedicated, detail oriented Merchandise Associate to join our dynamic team. We are looking for someone who thrives on absolute data integrity to own the end-to-end creation and maintenance of our items and POs. Because you will manage our operational source of truth, an eagle eye for detail is essential for this role. You are someone who catches a misplaced digit or an incorrect size tag from a mile away, and you take genuine pride in protecting the accuracy of our systems. Working remotely during active US business hours, you will ensure our entire styling pipeline runs on precise, highly reliable backend information.

What You'll Do:

  • Product Catalog Maintenance: Collaborate with the Merchandise Team to update and maintain the product catalog, ensuring product descriptions, images, and other relevant information are current and accurate.

  • Item Set Up: Accurately enter product information and pricing into our database system. Ensure all data is up-to-date and error-free.

  • Data Entry: Accurately enter product information into our database system. Ensure all data is up-to-date and error-free.

  • Quality Control: Conduct regular quality checks on product data to ensure accuracy and consistency. Identify and address any discrepancies or issues promptly.

  • Communication: Maintain open and clear communication with the merchandise team in San Francisco. Provide regular updates on tasks, projects, and any challenges encountered.

  • Ad Hoc Support: Provide support to the merchandise team as needed, including assisting with special projects, conducting research, and performing other administrative tasks.

What We’re Looking For

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Clothing Technology, Apparel Engineering, or Fashion Merchandising.

  • 2 to 6+ years of experience working inside a structured, apparel operation—specifically within buying, merchandise planning, or brand management roles

  • Fluent in English

  • 2+ years of experience with data entry in English

  • Exceptional writing skills

  • Extreme attention to detail

  • Strong with Data: comfort running calculations, analyzing data, and tracking numbers under tight deadlines.

  • Proficiency with G Suite (Google Sheets, Docs, Slides)

  • Flexible and able to wear many hats

Bonus Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Slack and Airtable

  • Previous experience working in e-commerce tech startup

  • You thrive in fast-moving environments where we move quickly

  • You are energetic and ready to be on-the-go

  • Eager to learn and excited to help build a company from the ground up

Schedule and Location:

  • 100% Remote (Based in the Philippines)

  • This will be a Full-Time, 40 hours/week role (may include some weekend and evening hours)

  • Aligned with US business hours (Night shift PHT).

Pay Rate:

  • PHP 48,000-70,000 per month depending on experience
