DIRECTOR, DIGITAL EXPERIENCE & PRODUCTION

The Director, Digital Experience & Production leads the strategic planning and implementation of supporter growth and acquisition through digital marketing and digital engagement. Is responsible for attracting new supporters and raising financial resources from them. Gives direction to all aspects of digital marketing and oversees the organization’s digital presenceActive member of the Senior Leadership Team of Marketing &Development in all national campaigns as well as leads out on digital campaign development and execution.

  • Enhance new acquisition digital channels, products and revenue sources; 
  • Oversee creative development and implementation of Children Believe digital fundraising appeals to new donors and audiences;
  • Responsible for the management of external vendor and agency relationships and contracts within the realm of the position; 
  • Oversee the management of all digital assets and overall digital footprint equity for Children Believe – including all social media – with an ability to contribute both on strategic and hands on level (also known as a ‘player/coach).
  • Support Chief Marketing & Development Officer and Leadership Team in developing mass-revenue diversification through product innovation and new revenue sources;
  • Leads the DX&P team through strategic thinking, innovation and growth;
  • Ensures compliance to Children Believe brand and corporate identity guidelines for all prospect/donor/sponsor materials.




This role includes, but not limited to: 

  • Increase revenue and grow net digital contribution in support of social impact growth through the acquisition of monthly and single gift donors. 
  • Develops, leads and implements CB’s Digital Strategy – including Social Media Strategy
  • Oversees management of internal digital team staff. Coaches, develops and counsels staff, to identify and resolve problems, optimize employee morale, motivate staff and ensure effective strategies and activities are carried out. 
  • Selects and negotiates contracts and manages key partner/vendor relationships including providing adequate resources, producing detailed project outlines and performance monitoring. 
  • Identifies issues or variances from income/expense plans, and takes corrective actions. 
  • Develops/enhances and manages a diverse range of donor acquisition programs and campaigns
  • Supports the delivery of the organization's consistent brand message, style and experience across digital fundraising channels. Ensures key stakeholders have been consulted in the approval process for fundraising materials. Accountable for accurate and effective content across all CB’s digital presence. 
  • Champions collaboration by ensuring effective and regular communication with internal stakeholders to maximize optimum process and information flow.
  • Creates detailed annual plans and budgets for new supporter digital acquisition activities. Monitors performance against budget, and reports any significant income or expense issues. Produces regular Digital related financial/performance reports.
  • Monitors fundraising sector developments including legislative changes and keeps abreast of the Canadian fundraising and charitable climate.

  • Comply with all Children Believe policies and procedures.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

 

 

The ideal candidate possesses: 

  • University degree or college diploma in Digital Marketing or a relevant field.
  • Minimum 7+ years’ experience in digital fundraising or marketing, including at least 4 years in managerial role.
  • Excellent knowledge of database marketing principles.
  • Superior knowledge of integrated marketing, with a focus on digital marketing.
  • Proven track record of success in leading high-performing digital marketing teams, with demonstrated skills and experience in project management.
  • Successful experience managing vendor/supplier contracts and relationships.
  • Understanding of PIPEDA and compliance issues.
  • Understanding of development issues and how they pertain to child-centred community development.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and donor database software for data extraction and analysis.
  • Ability to speak and/or write in French or Spanish is considered an asset.

Type: Hybrid

 

Our Hybrid Workplace Program is a flexible work arrangement that permits employees to work remotely while also occasionally being required to come into the Organization’s office. If approved to work from home as part of our Hybrid workplace program; the incumbent must be available to work from the Organization’s office from time to time as determined by the supervisor or as otherwise directed by the Organization.

Compensation: Between $108,000 - $135,000 annually based on experience.
