ABOUT PROJECT
The project is a web-based platform for financial advisors.
The client portal allows advisors to control the user experience by enabling or disabling features and functionality for each client.
REQUIREMENTS
5+ years of experience as a QA Engineer, QA Tester, or similar manual testing role
Experience testing data-heavy applications, ETL pipelines, or API-driven integrations
Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and QA best practices (functional, regression, integration, end-to-end, UAT)
Experience designing and executing test plans, test cases, and test suites based on requirements and technical specifications
Solid experience with defect tracking and test management tools (Jira, TestRail, or similar)
Experience with SQL for data validation and query-based verification of application behavior
Ability to perform data integrity testing across integrations and processing workflows
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a structured approach to root cause analysis
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum practices and SDLC
Excellent communication skills; able to clearly document and communicate defects, test results, and quality findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
High attention to detail and strong ownership of quality outcomes
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
Upper - Intermediate level of English
NICE TO HAVE
Familiarity with Confluence and/or similar documentation tools
Exposure to CI/CD concepts and how manual QA integrates into delivery pipelines
Basic knowledge of REST APIs and experience with tools like Postman for exploratory testing
Experience working with financial systems
Self-motivated with a collaborative mindset and a focus on continuous improvement
RESPONSIBILITIES
Participate in the development, maintenance, and ownership of quality assurance procedures, work instructions, and testing processes related to data pipeline initiatives
Assist in tracking, documenting, and reporting quality metrics for software and data pipeline development efforts
Collaborate closely with engineering and product teams to support the delivery of high-quality, defect-free solutions
Participate in root cause and causal analysis activities for defects and nonconformities, identifying corrective and preventive actions
Develop and maintain procedures for capturing, investigating, documenting, and resolving product issues and customer complaints
Monitor risk management processes and maintain issue and defect logs for reporting and trend analysis
Support CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action) activities related to component and process quality
Interpret, implement, and ensure compliance with company quality assurance standards and best practices
Maintain accurate documentation and records for quality assurance activities, audits, defects, and remediation efforts
Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
Help define and improve testing standards, methodologies, and protocols across products and services
Participate actively in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and QA activities throughout the software development lifecycle
