Job description

ERM is seeking candidates in Spain to join our dynamic Soil & Groundwater remediation team as Soil and Groundwater junior consultant. As a global leader in sustainability consulting, we offer exciting opportunities to work on both national and international consulting projects. Under the guidance of experienced project managers, Senior, and Principal Consultants, the selected candidate will engage in impactful work that contributes to our clients' sustainable development goals.

Her/his main responsibilities will be:

  • Conduct field work, including soil, sediment, ground water, and surface water sampling, aquifer testing, drilling oversight and soil logging, soil boring and monitoring well installation, well development, purging and sampling, and construction oversight.
  • Coordinate and direct drilling, surveying, and laboratory services.
  • Provide construction oversight on environmental remediation projects, and operations and maintenance of environmental remediation systems.
  • Assist in data interpretation and preparation of site workplans, spreadsheets, figures, boring logs and technical reports.
  • Perform Phase I and II environmental assessments to support property transfer transactions.
  • Focus on team project delivery, taking direction primarily from Project Managers.
  • Communicate with subcontractors, regulatory agents, tenants, and clients during field activities etc.

Ideal candidate: (Recruitment Team – we can discuss some topics to make this job more attractive)

  • ENAC Inspector as per ISO 17020 norm.
  • Bachelor in geology, hydrogeology, or related discipline; Master Degree will be considered as a plus.
  • 1 - 3 years of experience, including willingness/interest in field assignments (environmental field work experience).
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • High level of Spanish and Good Level of English.
  • Availability for very frequent travels.
  • Detail-oriented with mechanical aptitude and hands-on trouble-shooting/problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written/verbal communication and organization/analytical skills; experience recording/writing detailed technical data and reports a plus.
  • Strong commitment to safety, including following established Health and Safety protocols.
