Type: Full-Time Remote | Working Hours: U.S. Business Hours

About This Opportunity:

Join a growing business as their WordPress Developer and help build, optimize, and maintain high-performing websites that drive user engagement, lead generation, and business growth.

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys building clean, responsive, and fast WordPress websites while balancing front-end creativity with strong technical execution. You’ll work across website development, theme customization, plugin management, performance optimization, SEO improvements, and ongoing website maintenance.

We’re looking for someone proactive, detail-oriented, and highly comfortable troubleshooting issues, improving site performance, and collaborating with marketing and design teams to deliver polished digital experiences.

If you enjoy WordPress development, Elementor customization, responsive design, SEO optimization, and website performance improvements — this role is for you.

What You’ll Do:

• Build and customize WordPress websites using Elementor, Divi, WPBakery, or custom development
• Develop and maintain landing pages, blogs, and content-focused websites
• Customize themes, child themes, and WordPress templates for long-term scalability
• Install, configure, and optimize WordPress plugins including WooCommerce, Yoast SEO, Contact Form 7, and others
• Troubleshoot website bugs, plugin conflicts, and performance issues
• Convert Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch designs into responsive WordPress pages
• Ensure websites are mobile-friendly, cross-browser compatible, and optimized for user experience
• Improve site speed through caching, lazy loading, image optimization, CDN integration, and performance tuning
• Run website audits using Google Lighthouse, GTmetrix, and PageSpeed Insights
• Maintain Core Web Vitals and SEO best practices across websites
• Apply WordPress, theme, and plugin updates while maintaining website security
• Configure backups, recovery systems, and security tools such as Wordfence or Sucuri
• Collaborate with marketing, content, and design teams on campaign and website initiatives
• Maintain staging environments, version control workflows, and deployment processes

What You Bring:

• 2+ years experience building and maintaining WordPress websites
• Strong proficiency in WordPress, PHP, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
• Experience using page builders such as Elementor, Divi, or WPBakery
• Strong understanding of responsive design and front-end user experience
• Experience optimizing WordPress performance, page speed, and Core Web Vitals
• Familiarity with SEO best practices and WordPress SEO tools such as Yoast SEO
• Experience managing hosting environments including cPanel, WP Engine, SiteGround, or Kinsta
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain clean, polished websites
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate in remote environments

Nice to Have:

• WooCommerce development and e-commerce experience
• Experience building or extending WordPress plugins using PHP
• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD workflows, and staging deployments
• Experience working in marketing agencies, SaaS, or service-based businesses
• Basic understanding of UX/UI principles and conversion-focused design

Key Success Metrics:

• On-time delivery of website updates and development tasks
• Fast-loading, responsive, and optimized websites
• Core Web Vitals maintained at high performance scores
• Minimal website downtime and security issues
• Strong collaboration with marketing and content teams
• Reduced bugs, plugin conflicts, and technical issues over time

Why You’ll Love This Role:

• High-impact role contributing directly to website performance and digital growth
• Opportunity to work on a variety of WordPress websites and campaigns
• Fully remote flexibility with ownership and autonomy
• Exposure to SEO, web performance optimization, UX, and front-end development
• Work closely with marketing, design, and leadership teams
• Long-term growth opportunity within web development and digital operations
