As a Cyber Security Strategist, you will be at the crossroads of business strategy, architecture, and cyber resilience. You’ll work hand-in-hand with platform, product, development, and enterprise IT teams to embed security seamlessly throughout the entire system development lifecycle — ensuring it’s a foundational element rather than an afterthought. Your efforts will have a direct impact on how we mitigate risk, comply with regulations, and build lasting trust with our global clients.

In this role, you will be instrumental in crafting, implementing, and sustaining the security architecture that protects our cloud environments. By aligning security initiatives with the organisation’s overarching technology strategy and business objectives, you will collaborate closely with platform, product, and development teams to embed security into every stage of development and deployment. Your contributions will be vital to fortifying the company’s overall security stance.

Requirements

What you will bring to be successful in this role

Essential Competencies:

• Knowledge & Application: Deep understanding of security frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO), enterprise and cloud security architectures, risk management principles and modern software development processes and frameworks.
• Complexity & Problem Solving: Ability to analyse complex security issues and develop innovative solutions to mitigate risks.
• Collaboration & Interaction: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with various engineering stakeholders
• Management & Supervision: Proven experience in leading security projects and managing cross-functional teams.
• Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in security technologies and tools related to web application design and cloud hosting, such as WAF, Docker, Kubernetes, and vulnerability management tools.
• Certifications: Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or CCSP.
• Cloud Security: Experience with cloud security platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and related tooling (GuardDuty, Security Center), CSPM
• Development Knowledge: Familiarity with secure coding practices and DevSecOps, deployment pipelines and Github.
• Integration Skills: Experience with integrating security solutions within large-scale cloud environments
