As the Head of Finance, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial aspects of the company, including financial planning, analysis, forecasting, reporting and accounting. You will play a key role in driving the financial strategy, ensuring sustainable growth, and helping to scale our operations. You will collaborate with the leadership team to align financial goals with business objectives, manage cash flow, and ensure financial stability as we continue to innovate in the payments industry.
 
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy & Planning:
Develop and execute financial strategies to support the company’s overall objectives and growth targets.
Lead financial forecasting, budgeting, and long-term financial planning processes.
Provide insights and recommendations to the executive team based on financial data to drive business decisions.
Financial Reporting & Compliance:Oversee the preparation and presentation of financial statements, reports, and analysis to the executive team and investors.
Ensure compliance with local and international financial regulations, including tax, accounting standards (e.g., IFRS), and regulatory bodies relevant to the payments industry.
Maintain internal controls and processes to ensure accuracy and integrity in all financial reporting.
Cash Flow & Capital Management:
Manage and optimize cash flow, working capital, and liquidity to ensure smooth operations and sustainable growth.
Develop strategies to mitigate financial risks and ensure financial stability during periods of rapid growth.
Financial Analysis & Business Intelligence:
Lead financial modeling and analysis to identify key business metrics, growth opportunities, and risks.
Track KPIs related to the financial performance of the company and its products, including revenue, margins, and customer acquisition costs.
Provide actionable insights on financial performance, cost structures, and profitability to guide strategic decision-making.
Investor Relations & Reporting:
Manage relationships with investors, ensuring clear and transparent communication regarding the company’s financial performance.
Prepare and present regular updates on financial performance.
Leadership & Team Management:
Lead and build a high-performing finance team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Mentor and develop team members, helping them grow professionally and enhancing their skills.
Improve current tools and processes to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial operations.
Collaboration Across Departments:
Work closely with the product, operations, marketing, and sales teams to provide financial insights and guidance to optimize business strategies.
Ensure alignment between finance and other departments, supporting data-driven decision-making across the organization.
 
Previous Relevant Experience
- 10+ years of experience in finance, with at least 4 years in a senior leadership role (preferably in the fintech or payments industry).
- Strong experience in financial planning and analysis (FP&A), financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven track record in managing and scaling financial operations in a fast-growing startup environment.
- Proven experience working in - empresas en varios paises- consolidación financiera, currency, leyes fiscales.
 
Technical Skills
- Expertise in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (e.g., IFRS), tax regulations, and financial compliance relevant to the payments and fintech sectors.
- Experience with financial management software, ERP systems, and accounting tools (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, Xero).
 
Soft Skills
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to turn complex financial data into actionable insights.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence decision-makers at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with competing priorities.
 
Others
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
- MBA or Master’s in Finance is preferred.
- Advanced English.
