Job description

Title: Senior DevSecOps Engineer
Location: Remote
Duration: 12+ Months

A DevSecOps engineer is responsible for integrating security into every phase of the software development lifecycle, ensuring that both development (Dev) and operations (Ops) teams work seamlessly with security (Sec) as a continuous and collaborative effort. Their role bridges the gap between development, operations, and security, with a focus on automating security practices and embedding security considerations from the earliest stages of development to deployment and beyond. The DevSecOps engineer must have experience in monorepository setups and NX (a powerful monorepo management tool). This will play a critical role in integrating security into large-scale, interconnected codebases
  • Setting up a monorepository using NX to manage multiple applications, libraries, and shared code efficiently, ensuring security policies are consistently applied across all projects in the monorepo.
  • Configuring NX workspaces for large-scale projects to streamline development, testing, and deployment of various services and applications within a single repository.
  • Managing dependencies and ensuring that shared code across the monorepo is tested, versioned, and securely integrated with other components.
  • Implementing security checks within NX pipelines, ensuring that all projects and libraries in the monorepo comply with security best practices, including static code analysis, dependency checks, and configuration audits.
  • Leveraging NX caching and distributed task execution to optimize CI/CD pipelines while maintaining security standards for each project in the monorepo.
  • Embedding security into NX-powered CI/CD pipelines, ensuring that all projects within the monorepo are scanned for vulnerabilities during each stage of the development lifecycle.
  • Ensuring that security is consistently enforced across the entire monorepo by integrating security testing frameworks, such as SAST and DAST, within the NX toolchain.
  • Working with development teams to ensure that each application or service within the monorepo adheres to the organization's security standards from the ground up.
  • Strong proficiency in languages like TypeScript and Go to write secure code and build automation tools within the NX monorepo ecosystem.
  • Experience with standard SDLC methodologies, software development, and design of enterprise applications.
  • Deep experience with Typescript and Golang technologies
  • Experience in the design and deployment of complex SQL objects and relational database design.
  • Background in Agile Software Development Methodologies (SCRUM).
  • Experience with container management and orchestration tools, including Docker and Kubernetes.
  • Background with continuous integration and continuous delivery/deployment practices (CI/CD).
  • Experience with observability tools and practices.
  • Proficiency in Go language and Protocol Buffers.
  • Prior experience with medical and pharmacy claims processing systems and interfaces.
  • Prior experience with PCI, SOC2, HIPAA, and other compliance regimes
