Job Title: MuleSoft Architect
Location: 100% Remote (USA)
Employment Type: Contract / Full-Time

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced MuleSoft Architect to lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise integration solutions using the MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in API-led connectivity, system integration, and cloud-based architectures. This role involves collaborating with business stakeholders, solution architects, and development teams to build scalable, secure, and high-performance integration solutions across multiple systems and platforms.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement API-led connectivity architectures using MuleSoft best practices.
  • Lead the architecture and development of integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
  • Define system, process, and experience APIs following API-led architecture principles.
  • Develop integration patterns for cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to MuleSoft developers and integration teams.
  • Design reusable assets, frameworks, and accelerators for enterprise integrations.
  • Implement RESTful APIs, microservices, and event-driven architectures.
  • Ensure integration solutions follow security, governance, and compliance standards.
  • Work closely with DevOps teams to implement CI/CD pipelines for MuleSoft deployments.
  • Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability of integration services.
  • Participate in architecture reviews, code reviews, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of IT experience with strong focus on system integration and middleware.
  • 5+ years of hands-on experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform.
  • Strong experience in API design, development, and management.
  • Expertise in REST, SOAP, RAML, and OpenAPI specifications.
  • Experience designing API-led architectures (System, Process, Experience APIs).
  • Strong knowledge of MuleSoft components including Mule Runtime, DataWeave, API Manager, and Anypoint Studio.
  • Experience integrating with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Solid understanding of microservices architecture and event-driven integrations.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, Git, or Azure DevOps.
  • Knowledge of security protocols such as OAuth, JWT, SAML, and API security best practices
