Job Description
Role: Tableau Administrator
Location: Remote
Key Responsibilities:
Implement and leverage advanced Tableau Server management capabilities to improve overall platform efficiency and governance.
Design and automate the migration process of Tableau workbooks and data sources from Test to Production environments.
Develop and enforce processes to identify unused or obsolete Tableau content and coordinate with stakeholders for cleanup and removal.
Monitor and optimize server storage utilization by proactively managing content lifecycle and archival strategies.
Evaluate existing user provisioning and access management processes, and recommend improvements to enhance security and operational efficiency.
Manage user roles, permissions, and group access to ensure compliance with organizational policies.
Collaborate with business and IT teams to support reporting needs and ensure high availability of Tableau services.
Troubleshoot Tableau Server issues, including performance, access, and data connectivity problems.
Maintain documentation for processes, workflows, and system configurations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Strong experience with Tableau Server administration and architecture.
Hands-on experience with Tableau Advanced Management features (e.g., Content Migration Tool, Resource Monitoring Tool).
Experience in automating deployments and migrations across environments.
Knowledge of user provisioning, access control, and governance best practices.
Understanding of server performance tuning, storage management, and monitoring.
Experience working in enterprise environments with large-scale Tableau deployments.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
