Job description

Job Title: Cloud Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Cloud Engineer to design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure and services. The Cloud Engineer will be responsible for maintaining secure, scalable, and highly available cloud environments while optimizing performance and cost.


Key Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS / Azure / GCP)

  • Build and maintain scalable, highly available systems

  • Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform / CloudFormation / ARM templates

  • Monitor system performance and ensure reliability

  • Manage CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation

  • Implement cloud security best practices

  • Troubleshoot infrastructure and networking issues

  • Optimize cloud costs and resource utilization

  • Configure backup, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions

  • Collaborate with DevOps, development, and security teams

  • Maintain documentation of cloud architecture and processes


Required Technical Skills

Cloud Platforms (At least one required)

  • AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, IAM, VPC, Lambda, CloudWatch)

  • Microsoft Azure (VMs, Azure DevOps, Azure Functions, Storage)

  • Google Cloud Platform (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, GKE)

DevOps & Automation

  • CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps)

  • Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred)

  • Docker & Kubernetes

  • Version control (Git)

Networking & Security

  • VPC, Subnets, Firewalls, Load Balancers

  • Identity & Access Management (IAM)

  • SSL, VPN, Security Groups

  • Basic understanding of Zero Trust and cloud security models

Scripting & OS

  • Linux administration

  • Shell scripting / Python

  • Troubleshooting system-level issues


Soft Skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Good communication skills

  • Ability to work in cross-functional teams

  • Ownership mindset

  • Ability to handle production incidents


Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of security compliance standards (ISO, SOC2, GDPR)

Mid-Level Cloud Engineer (2–5 years)

  • Strong IaC experience

  • CI/CD pipeline management
