Job description

This is a remote position.

We are looking for a Senior SAP Hybris Developer with 3–5+ years of strong hands‑on Hybris experience and 4+ years of overall development experience. The ideal candidate will work as an individual senior contributor, owning one or more Hybris modules end‑to‑end and driving their technical design, delivery, quality, and performance.

This role requires deep expertise in enterprise e‑commerce platforms, strong engineering practices, and the ability to collaborate with cross‑functional and globally distributed teams.


Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable, testable, secure, and high‑performance e‑commerce applications using SAP Hybris and Java/J2EE
  • Own assigned Hybris modules end‑to‑end, including design, development, testing, deployment, and support
  • Develop and deploy Hybris applications with strong focus on code quality, performance, and security
  • Build and integrate REST/SOAP APIs, web services, and SAP integrations
  • Implement and enforce secure coding practices and resolve quality/security issues using tools like SonarQube and Coverity
  • Monitor and troubleshoot application performance using APM tools such as Dynatrace and AppDynamics
  • Drive unit test automation, TDD practices, and write new test suites
  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines from scratch using Jenkins or GitLab
  • Participate actively in Agile and DevSecOps practices, using tools like Jira and Confluence
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, external partners, and stakeholders across time zones
  • Proactively identify and resolve technical risks, issues, and performance bottlenecks

Requirements

  • 4+ years of overall experience in enterprise application development
  • Minimum 3–5 years of hands‑on experience with SAP Hybris
  • Strong expertise in:
SAP Hybris, Java/J2EE, Spring
JavaScript, JSP, HTML5, CSS
REST / SOAP APIs
JUnit and unit test frameworks
  • Proven experience delivering high‑performance Hybris applications
  • Hands‑on experience with CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation
  • Strong exposure to secure coding and DevSecOps practices
  • Experience working with APM tools (Dynatrace, AppDynamics)
  • Ability to work independently as a senior developer owning delivery
  • Hybris Module Experience (Minimum 2+ Required)
  • Hands‑on experience with two or more of the following Hybris modules:

Promotions & Vouchers
Payment Integrations
Catalog & Content Management
Checkout & Cart
Order Management System (OMS)
Business Processes & Consignments
Datahub
OCC Layer
ASM
Backoffice
SAP Integrations



Integration Experience

Payment integrations (e.g., Pay Metrics)
Tax integrations
SAP APT / SAP ECC integrations
Web services and RFC calls

Good‑to‑Have / Preferred Skills
  • Experience with SAP ECC or other ERP systems
  • Awareness of SAP PI / EDI‑based integrations
  • Familiarity with Jira, Confluence
  • Knowledge of Dynatrace, AppDynamics, Kibana
  • Experience in SAFe Agile frameworks
  • SAP Hybris certification is a plus
