Roles & Responsibilities

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or related fields
  • MBA or equivalent preferred
  • 10+ years of experience in senior commercial management roles within multiple industries sectors (Mining, Rail, Rolling Stock, energy, or heavy machinery industries)
  • Expertise in negotiation and contract management, strong financial acumen, and data-driven decision-making

Requirements:

  • Develop and execute the commercial strategy for industrial sectors, identify market trends, competitive landscapes, and growth opportunities
  • Manage P&L for commercial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, monthly business reporting, and design pricing models and decisions for offers or long-term agreements
  • Mentor and develop regional sales teams, foster a performance-driven culture, and ensure contract terms align with group requirements with regional or HQ approvals for deviations
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, oversee large tenders and drive proposal development, collaborating with engineering, operations, and R&D to tailor solutions; represent the company at industry events

Job description

You will join Commercial Team and base in Suzhou, your main responsibilities are:

- Strategic leadership and business development

  • Develop and execute the commercial strategy for industrial sectors, ensuring alignment with business long-term objectives.
  • Identify market trends, competitive landscapes, and growth opportunities
  • Oversee sales teams to achieve sales targets
  • Secure high-value contracts and drive proposal development for large scale tenders, ensuring technical and financial viability.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key clients, collaborate with engineering, operations, and R&D teams to tailor solutions for client needs
  • Represent the company at industry events, trade shows and marketing activities.

- Financial oversight

  • Manage P&L for commercial operations, including budgeting, forecasting and monthly business report
  • Design pricing models and take decisions for the price related with each offer or long-term agreement.

- Team management and risk control

  • Mentor and develop regional sales, grow the team’s capabilities both on technical and commercial skill sides.
  • Foster a performance-driven culture focused on innovation and customer service-centricity.
  • Make sure the contract terms and conditions align with group requirements and get approval from the region management team or group HQ for any deviation.

- Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business or related fields. MBA or equivalent preferred.
  • 10+ years’ experience in senior commercial management roles within multiple industries sectors ( Mining, Rail, Rolling Stock, energy, or heavy machinery industries)
  • Expertise in negotiation and contract management, strong financial acumen, and data-driven decision-making
  • Fluency English for communication and global company experience preferred
