Job description

This is a remote position.

For an international institution based in The Hague (Den Haag, Netherlands), we are looking for a Senior Java Developer with Cloud and Kubernetes experience/knowledge. As a Developer, you will become part of a bigger service, composed of Project Managers, Business Analysts, Solution Architects, and Testers to reinforce this growing team.

Candidates need to be fluent in English. A work permit is required as occasional travel is required. This position is also open for employees, who would like to commit long-term.

Tasks and responsibilities

Development and test technical environment based on Java technologies such as Wildfly, Java EE, Spring, Apache, Hibernate, JCR, Mule, MySQL CE, and Oracle DB but also modern technologies based on cloud-native application architectures;
Microservice architectures deployed through containers in the service mesh on the Kubernetes platform;
Develop applications and tools under the guidance and close cooperation with the solution architects;

Profile

+5 years of Java Development experience;
Experience with software development in a Kubernetes-based infrastructure, networking policies, LBs, deployment strategies, and cluster security;
Experience with cloud deployments, DevOps, and infrastructure engineering;
Experience with Linux and MS Windows-based systems;
Cloud automation and infrastructure provisioning;
CI/CD pipeline building tools (git, maven, Jenkins);
Ability to write Dockerfiles, Jenkinsfiles, and Helm charts;
Experience with React user interface development;
Fluent in English;
