Roles & Responsibilities

  • Minimum 3+ years of drafting or architectural documentation experience within industrial and/or commercial construction projects.
  • Diploma or Degree in Drafting, Architecture, Building Design, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Strong proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Lumion, Bluebeam, and BIM-based drafting workflows.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing construction documentation, architectural drawings, and detailed technical documentation with a solid understanding of Australian building codes and documentation standards.

Job description

This is a remote position.

  • Produce accurate architectural drawings, construction documentation, and detailing for industrial and commercial projects.
  • Prepare plans, elevations, sections, schedules, and 3D models in accordance with project requirements and company standards.
  • Assist with development applications, construction certificates, tender packages, and as-built documentation.
  • Support the preparation of presentation materials, design visuals, and documentation packages for clients and stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with architects, consultants, engineers, and project stakeholders to coordinate design documentation and resolve technical issues.
  • Incorporate design revisions, consultant feedback, and project markups into updated drawing packages.
  • Conduct site inspections and attend project and client meetings as required.
  • Ensure all documentation aligns with project specifications, Australian building codes, and relevant industry standards.
  • Manage drawing revisions, document control, and file organisation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support the team in meeting project deadlines while maintaining high levels of drafting accuracy and presentation quality.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of drafting processes, BIM workflows, and documentation standards.
  • Support projects from concept design through to construction and project completion.


Requirements

  • Minimum 3+ years of drafting or architectural documentation experience within industrial and/or commercial construction projects.
  • Diploma or Degree in Drafting, Architecture, Building Design, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline.
  • Strong proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Lumion, Bluebeam, and BIM-based drafting workflows.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing construction documentation, architectural drawings, and detailed technical documentation.
  • Strong understanding of Australian building codes, construction methods, and documentation standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and consultant drawings accurately.
  • Strong design sensibility with excellent attention to detail and presentation quality.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Experience with industrial facilities, warehouses, commercial developments, retail projects, or large-scale construction projects is highly regarded.
  • Familiarity with SketchUp, Navisworks, and other architectural visualisation or coordination tools is advantageous.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
  • Experience working within an architectural, construction, or design consultancy environment is preferred.
