Responsibilities:

Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat Linux servers.
Monitor server performance, availability, and system health.
Perform OS patching, upgrades, and vulnerability remediation.
Configure and manage user accounts, permissions, and authentication.
Troubleshoot Linux operating system, network, and application issues.
Implement backup, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions.
Manage storage systems, file systems, and LVM configurations.
Configure and maintain DNS, NFS, SSH, FTP, Apache, and related services.
Support virtualization technologies such as VMware, vSphere or Red Hat Virtualization.
Develop shell scripts and automation using Bash, Python, or Ansible.
Maintain system security compliance and audit standards.
Support cloud environments such as Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure.
Create and maintain technical documentation and operational procedures.
Participate in on-call support rotations and incident response activities.

Qualifications:

Experience with Linux systems administration.
Experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux administration.
Knowledge of Linux commands, services, and troubleshooting.
Experience with shell scripting and automation tools.
Understanding of TCP/IP networking, firewalls, and security.
Experience with system monitoring tools.
Knowledge of LDAP, Active Directory integration, and authentication methods.
Familiarity with SAN/NAS storage technologies.
Experience with virtualization and cloud platforms.
Experience with containers and orchestration technologies.

Preferred:

Experience with Ansible, Terraform and CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies.
Relevant certifications: Red Hat RHCSA, RHCE and Cloud certifications (AWS/Azure).

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering or related technical discipline.
Eight (8) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education.

Clearance:

The ability to pass a Tier 4/HIGH Background Investigation.
