It’s an exciting time to be a part of H&R Block!

What you'll do...:

At H&R Block, the Director, Brand Media plays a critical role in how we show up in the market—bringing our brand to life through high-impact, large-scale media experiences that drive awareness, consideration, and new customer growth.

This leader owns the strategy and execution of brand-building media across channels including TV, streaming, gaming, audio, out-of-home (OOH), and custom partner integrations. The role sits at the intersection of brand and performance—balancing creativity and storytelling with disciplined, data-driven decision-making.

Success in this role means delivering efficient reach and frequency across priority audiences while driving measurable increases in new customer traffic across all channels—retail, digital, and app.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Shape how one of the most recognized brands shows up in the market
  • Lead high-visibility media investments across a national footprint
  • Combine storytelling, media innovation, and performance accountability
  • Work closely with brand, creative, analytics, and business leaders across the organization

Day to Day You’ll...

  • Define and lead brand media strategy to drive awareness and consideration across enterprise priorities
  • Own integrated media planning and activation across TV, streaming, gaming, audio, OOH, and custom brand partnerships
  • Design and optimize reach and frequency strategies to maximize audience impact and media efficiency
  • Drive new customer growth by delivering measurable increases in walk-ins, calls, app engagement, and .com traffic
  • Partner with Analytics to measure impact and continuously improve media performance through data and insights
  • Lead external media agencies and partners, ensuring high-quality execution, innovation, and value
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Brand, Creative, Performance Marketing, Product, and Retail teams to deliver cohesive, integrated campaigns
  • Build and develop a high-performing team, fostering accountability, growth, and strong execution

What you'll bring to the team...:
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or the equivalent through a combination of education and related work experience.
  • 10+ years of experience in media strategy, planning, or marketing, including deep expertise in brand media
  • Proven experience managing large-scale, multi-channel media investments (TV, streaming, audio, OOH, etc.)
  • Experience delivering both brand impact and measurable business outcomes, especially customer acquisition
  • Strong understanding of media measurement, attribution, and marketing performance frameworks
  • Experience leading agencies and cross-functional teams in complex, matrixed environments
  • Ability to balance creative thinking with analytical rigor to drive business results
