Job description

VirtueStaff is seeking for a professional and articulate Legal Intake Specialist to serve as the initial point of contact for our client. In this role, you will be responsible for managing high-volume inbound inquiries and conducting the initial screening process to determine how our firm can best assist. The ideal candidate is a empathetic communicator who can gather critical information efficiently while maintaining a professional and welcoming demeanor.

Responsibilities

  • Promptly and professionally answer inbound client calls, acting as the primary voice of the firm to establish trust from the first point of contact
  • Conduct detailed intake processes with inbound callers to qualify leads and determine if their legal needs align with our firm's practice areas
  • Accurately capture and enter prospective client information, case facts, and contact details into our system to ensure the legal team has a clear starting point
  • Provide exceptional customer service by addressing initial concerns, explaining the next steps of the process, and maintaining a supportive tone
  • Utilize persuasive, sales-minded communication techniques to handle objections, build value in our legal services, and successfully convert qualified inquiries into scheduled consultations

Requirements

  • Excellent communicative English skills, both verbal and written, are required for high-level professional interaction
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of experience in sales, inside sales, or a quota-driven customer service environment is highly preferred
  • Proven experience in legal intake or handling high-volume professional inquiries within a law firm is an absolute advantage
  • Strong objection-handling and closing skills, with a proven ability to guide potential clients confidently through a sales/intake funnel
  • A unique blend of high empathy and a sales mindset; the ability to handle sensitive, emotional situations with care while still driving the business forward
