Would you like to work with advanced technology in mission-critical defense environments? In this role, you will help build reliable platforms that support important defense systems. Come and join us!
We are facing an exciting future with considerable growth and demanding changes, as we deliver advanced technologies and mission critical solutions for the defense and aerospace industry. Our systems provide security for people on land, at sea and in the air. Therefore, we are looking for Advanced Platform Engineer to become part of this journey and contribute to our overall purpose – securing people through advanced technology.
Your role in our team
As our new Advanced Platform Engineer, you will play a key role in bridging advanced software engineering with mission-critical defense operations. You will design, deploy, and maintain secure, resilient, and scalable computing platforms that support defense infrastructure.
In this role, you will work in complex and highly regulated defense environments, including air-gapped systems cut off from the public internet. You will need to balance technical progress with strict security and compliance requirements, while applying strong problem-solving skills and technical independence to deliver reliable platform solutions.
You will join an energetic, innovative, multinational team within our Department of Cyber & Quantum Technology under R&D - currently consisting of 20 passionate colleagues with diverse cultural and professional backgrounds. The team is a mix of experienced professionals and talented newcomers, all united by enthusiasm and passion for cybersecurity, technology, and a shared joy of hacking devices.
We take pride in a dynamic, collaborative, and inclusive work environment where curiosity, continuous learning, and both professional and personal growth are encouraged. In the team, we do not believe in a one-size-fits-all approach, but instead value openness, knowledge sharing, and the opportunity to explore a variety of tasks.
How you will make a meaningful contribution
Your key responsibilities include:
-
- Architecting the Platform: Design and implement robust, multi-tenant container platforms and microservices infrastructures tailored for tactical and strategic defense applications.
- Automating Deployments: Create and maintain comprehensive IaC scripts and CI/CD pipelines to ensure rapid, repeatable, and secure software delivery across various classification levels.
- Security Hardening: Conduct continuous vulnerability assessments, apply OS and platform patches, and implement strict identity and access management (IAM) policies.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with software developers, cyber security validators, and military stakeholders to translate mission requirements into technical blueprints.
Bring your world class expertise into play
You are fluent in English both in writing and verbal at a professional level. Danish is an advantage but not a requirement. Moreover, we are also looking for a new colleague with the following qualifications:
-
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering, preferably within a regulated industry (Defense, Aerospace, Finance, or Healthcare).
- You have technical expertise and the ability to think architecturally
- Understanding of securing Linux/Windows environments to meet strict defense standards.
- Experience and understanding of Architectural Frameworks such as NATO Architectural Framework (NAFv4)
- Ability to weave legacy military hardware/software with modern DevSecOps pipelines, ensuring seamless interoperability.
As a person, you are structured, security-minded, and motivated by solving complex technical challenges where reliability, compliance, and quality are essential. You thrive in a collaborative and multinational environment, and bring curiosity, enthusiasm, and a desire to continuously learn, grow, and explore diverse tasks.
