This is a fully remote/home-based position to be based in Norway.

As a full-stack software engineer in our Public Warning team, you will work on enhancing the Public Warning Portal and consolidating it with other portals we currently have in our product portfolio. This position will expose the candidate to many aspects of telecommunications technology and candidates must therefore demonstrate an attitude and enthusiasm for development of Public Warning solutions in a telco-grade environment. Candidates must be able to demonstrate methodical and logical development skills which embrace and leverage AI at every possible level. Next to this they should be able to communicate solutions succinctly with other departments.

Principle Responsibilities:

  • Sustaining & Maintenance activities.
  • Testing and documenting activities.

What you'll do:

  • Use modern platform technologies like Docker, Kubernetes and the like.
  • Embrace and leverage AI in development activities where/whenever possible.
  • Learn and introduce new skills and technologies.
  • Write technical product documentation and initiate product improvements.
  • Work closely together with the Product Owner to break down Epics and Stories in Jira.
  • Collaborate across teams and guide adoption of best practices within the team.
  • Participate in routine maintenance on existing products to include software deficiency resolution.
  • Report with respect to the key activities to the Engineering Manager, Product Owner and/or other colleagues.

  • What you'll bring:
  • Must have a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer/Electronic Engineering or equivalent.
  • Must have 5+ years of experience with backend engineering using Java / Spring (Boot).
  • Must have 5+ years of experience with frontend engineering using Angular(JS), JavaScript, HTML, CSS and related web technologies.
