Your Role on Our Team:

Global Trade Expertise: As a Trade Compliance Analyst II, you will support global import and export compliance activities by independently executing assigned compliance processes, applying trade regulations with sound judgment, and identifying opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, and risk mitigation. This role acts as first-level backup to Trade Compliance Analyst I, partners closely with internal stakeholders and external brokers, and supports senior analysts through data analysis, audits, and special projects. The Analyst II is expected to own end-to-end completion of assigned compliance activities while escalating complex or high-risk issues appropriately.  You’ll provide practical, business-oriented advice related to global trade. Your insights will empower us to create cutting-edge solutions while minimizing legal risks associated with international transactions.

Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with various departments to support trade compliance activities worldwide.

Regulatory Guardianship: Guide our business to comply with international regulations and customs laws.

Supporting Growth: Behind our doors, you’ll have the autonomy to take ownership, drive initiatives, and contribute to industry breakthroughs. Plus, you’ll benefit from the resources of the fastest-growing brand in the construction sector.

You’ll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:

  • Perform data analysis, build and maintain audit scorecards and assist with metrics and analyzing compliance activity trends.
  • Perform trend, root-cause, and variance analysis to reduce recurring entry errors and prevent compliance issues.
  • Review and analyze import and export activities to identify and mitigate compliance risks and ensure adherence to applicable global trade regulations.
  • Automate and simplify recurring reporting and data cleansing using Excel/Power Query and Power BI where applicable.
  • Build basic analytical models/scenarios (e.g., duty impact, FTA utilization, classification changes, lead-time or cost drivers) to inform strategic trade and sourcing decisions.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments of import and export related activities to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective action plans.
  • Support the process of day-to-day import and export transactions for Milwaukee Tool and perform compliance reviews while proactively seeking opportunities for automation and process enhancements and exercising reasonable care.
  • Assign, upload and maintain HTS classifications, country of origin (COO), and marking requirements for assigned products and categories in Oracle GTM. Support classification database maintenance.
  • Utilize the General Rules of Interpretation for the purpose of Classification and Free Trade Agreement analysis. Apply Chapter 98 provisions and audit products for eligibility.
  • Review ADD/CVD cases for applicability and escalate complex determinations.
  • Communicate with brokers and forwarders to ensure that the organization has appropriate supporting documentation and consistent compliance with import and export regulations.
  • Perform FTA analysis, prepare and audit certificates of origin and FTA documentation.
  • Assist with the interpretation of new and evolving customs regulations, including developing process maps and guidance to help the business understand regulatory requirements and assessing SKU‑level impacts across product lines.
  • Build relationships with internal and external stakeholders to understand and apply best practices and current data to projects.
  • Execute team processes as directed and provide input into process improvements related to immediate area of influence.
  • Manage a diverse workload which may include changes in priorities and responsibilities.

The TOOLS you’ll bring with you:
