Roles & Responsibilities

  • Must be a Cigna retiree with at least 5 years of progressively responsible administrative and executive assistant experience.
  • Strong calendar management experience (Outlook preferred).
  • Experience supporting a virtual workforce.
  • Expert skills in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel, with willingness to learn advanced skills as appropriate.

  • Schedule meetings and travel itineraries; manage leadership calendars and seek opportunities to enhance efficiencies.
  • Plan and coordinate onboarding activities; schedule town hall meetings and maintain department distribution lists.
  • Manage department vendor payments and invoices; assist with travel and expense entries for the department head using Concur.

Job description

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform diversified and confidential administrative duties to department head, and other members of team as required, utilizing broad and comprehensive experience, skill and knowledge of organization policies and practices.
  • Schedule meetings and travel itineraries and coordinate related arrangements.
  • Manage an effective calendaring system for leadership and look for opportunities to enhance efficiencies.
  • Schedule and coordinate town hall meetings
  • Plan and coordinate on-boarding activities
  • Maintain and coordinate department distribution lists
  • Order equipment and supplies using the portal supply system
  • Manage department vendor payment activities, track and approve invoices, assume delegate responsibilities for travel and expense entry for department head using Concur. 
  • Work closely with peer administrative and executive assistants in a team environment

Qualifications:

  • Candidate must be a Cigna retiree, with at least 5 years of progressively responsible administrative and executive assistant experience. 
  • Effective calendar management experience is critical- Outlook preferred.
  • Experience with supporting a virtual workforce
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Expert skills in Microsoft applications - Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel with a willingness to learn advanced skills as appropriate. 
  • Possess technical proficiencies with audio and voice equipment as well as mobile and desktop devices.


If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
