Ehvert Mission Critical, a business unit within Salas O’Brien, is seeking an experienced Technical Talent Sourcer for a long-term independent contractor engagement.

This is an ongoing collaboration with a US-based company supporting multiple large-scale hyperscale and AI data center projects globally. The role is not limited to a single project and involves continuous sourcing activities based on business demands and hiring priorities.

You will provide services as an independent, self-employed professional under a formal independent contractor agreement.

Role Summary

The Technical Talent Sourcer plays a critical role in identifying and engaging top engineering and technical talent for Ehvert Mission Critical, a business unit within Salas O’Brien, specializing in the engineering and construction management of hyperscale and AI data centers for global technology leaders such as Microsoft, Oracle, Uber, and Amazon.

This role is heavily focused on proactive sourcing, talent mapping, market research, and passive candidate engagement across international markets including the US, Canada, Europe, Asia, and LATAM. You will partner closely with recruiters, hiring managers, and leadership teams to help build strong pipelines for highly specialized engineering and design positions supporting complex mission-critical facilities.

The ideal candidate is highly organized, resourceful, and experienced in identifying difficult-to-find technical talent through advanced sourcing strategies and creative outreach methods. Success in this role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, and comfort working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

  • Working hours: Monday to Friday, approximately 12:00 — 21:00 Ukraine time (can be slightly adjusted)

Responsibilities

  • Source and identify technical candidates, including passive talent, for engineering, BIM/VDC, construction, architecture, scheduling, and mission-critical infrastructure roles
  • Build and maintain long-term talent pipelines for hard-to-fill technical positions
  • Utilize LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, databases, Boolean search techniques, networking, and other sourcing methods to identify qualified candidates
  • Conduct market mapping and competitor research across target regions and companies
  • Perform proactive outreach and initial candidate engagement through personalized messaging and communication campaigns
  • Partner closely with recruiters and hiring managers to understand hiring priorities and talent market conditions
  • Prepare candidate summaries and sourcing notes for internal recruitment teams
  • Track sourcing activity, pipeline progress, and candidate engagement metrics
  • Maintain accurate candidate records within ATS systems and internal tracking tools
  • Support recruitment campaigns and hiring initiatives across multiple global regions
  • Stay informed on hiring trends, compensation benchmarks, and talent availability within the engineering and data center industries
  • Provide regular sourcing progress updates and reports to management

Requirements

  • Good written and verbal English communication skills (B2 or higher)
  • 2+ years of experience in sourcing, talent acquisition, or recruitment support roles
  • Strong experience using LinkedIn Recruiter and other sourcing platforms
  • Knowledge of advanced sourcing methodologies and Boolean search techniques
  • Experience identifying and engaging passive candidates
  • Strong ability to work independently and manage multiple open searches simultaneously
  • Experience sourcing engineering, construction, BIM/VDC, architecture, or other technical positions is strongly preferred
  • Recruiting or sourcing experience within the US, Canada, Europe, Asia, or LATAM markets is considered a strong asset
  • Familiarity with ATS systems and recruitment technologies
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Teams, Outlook, etc.)
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records
  • Professionalism and discretion when handling confidential information
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

This engagement is strictly as an independent contractor. You will not be eligible for employee benefits, and we will not withhold taxes, provide insurance(s), or make contributions to social security/pensions on your behalf. You are responsible for complying with all tax and labor obligations in your country of residence. A formal independent contractor agreement governed by Texas, United States law will be required before work begins.
