Digital Monitoring Operative

Xyla, (part of Acacium Group)

Remote working style

12 months fixed term, Part time 2 x 10-hour shifts with occasional weekend work

£26,000 per annum plus an amazing benefits package!

Xyla is proud to support the WM5G-enabled Virtual Discharge Service, providing non-clinical digital reassurance monitoring for patients who are medically fit for discharge. This innovative service focuses on supporting patients within Discharge Pathway 0 and Pathway 1, helping them return home safely while maintaining independence and reducing the risk of readmission.

As a Digital Monitoring Operative, you will play a vital role in delivering safe, consistent monitoring using passive sensor technology. You will observe activity patterns, identify any deviations, and take appropriate action to ensure patient wellbeing through established escalation procedures.

💡 About the Role

In this role, you will:

  • Monitor patient activity using passive environmental sensors (e.g. kettle, door, and light usage)

  • Identify expected patterns of daily living and detect any unusual or concerning changes

  • Respond promptly to alerts and initiate appropriate escalation pathways

  • Accurately record observations and actions in line with service protocols

  • Work collaboratively with the Trust’s Digital Care Navigator to support efficient referral management

  • Deliver compassionate, non-clinical reassurance monitoring that supports patient independence
