Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications- 

  • The Structural Designer must demonstrate the ability to perform the duties and responsibilities of this role at the level described above.   • Associate degree in Computer-Aided Drafting or equivalent
  • Minimum of 5 years drafting/design experience in the structural field
  • Minimum of 3 years Revit experience
  • Strong interpersonal leadership skills and communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • 7 years of drafting/design experience in the structural field
  • 5 years of Revit experience
  • Experience with SmartPlant and Tekla
  • Experience using Navisworks and Bluebeam
  • Experience designing traditional steel and concrete structures
  • Experience with general industrial facilities, preferably semiconductor-related

Responsibilities:

Position Summary: As a Career Level Structural Designer, you will continue to apply your expertise as a key contributor to the design team, responsible for developing design concepts and producing 2D and 3D deliverables.

As part of this team; you will be responsible for developing conceptual and detailed structural models that support advanced technology manufacturing environments, including semiconductor fabrication and support facilities. You will translate engineering input into construction-ready documentation aligned with department and client standards, applying precision and consistency in both modeling and documentation. In addition to independent execution, you may lead defined scope or small packages, coordinating work and supporting delivery through others. You are expected to take full ownership of assigned scope, including coordination, schedule, and quality, while contributing to successful delivery through both execution and limited leadership responsibility.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop and coordinate 3D structural models based on verbal instructions, markups, or conceptual sketches
  • Produce complete, coordinated, and constructible drawing sets for assigned scope
  • Apply department and client standards consistently by default, without reliance on corrective review
  • Take full ownership of assigned scope from assignment through issuance, including coordination, schedule, and quality
  • Review models and documents for quality, completeness, and standards compliance prior to formal QA/QC
  • Coordinate directly with engineers and related disciplines to resolve design and documentation issues
  • Execute assigned scope reliably without requiring continuous oversight or follow-up
  • Lead defined scope or small packages, including coordination and delivery through others
  • o Provide leadership for small packages and guide a small team of designers
  • o Coordinate team tasks and balance workloads to maintain progress and meet deadlines
  • o Ensure quality and standards compliance across contributed work within defined scope
  • o Take ownership of internal reviews and support cross-discipline and external package reviews
  • o May take on limited or scoped responsibilities within coordination, QA/QC, BIM, clash, or similar roles
  • o Participate in meetings, actively resolve concerns, and contribute to solution development
  • o Support team members by addressing needs
  • Advance design automation skills and embrace emerging technologies
  • Contribute to a collaborative team environment and uphold a Culture of Care
  • Remote: This position is considered remote, but you may occasionally be asked to report to a office for in-person support or collaboration.
