You are responsible for ensuring that projects are successfully completed on time and on budget. This includes project governance, budget and timeline development, build quality, testing and operational readiness, and the completed project’s readiness to go live.

How you will contribute

You will:

  • Drive consistency and quality in the execution of projects using the appropriate methodology and tools
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project-level risks and escalate them to global leads and/ or the program manager when needed
  • Provide project reporting and status updates using scorecards, status reports and monthly review meetings and leading stakeholder meetings
  • Lead budget management, resource planning and utilization
  • Confirm the completion and consistency of projects and their readiness to go live
  • Own the relationship with the external vendors including quality assurance in all phases of project delivery

Role Summary

The Transformation and Governance Lead plays a critical role in enabling product streams and platform lines to successfully adopt and operationalize the Product Oriented Enterprise Transformation (POET). This role serves as the primary transformation partner for assigned streams and lines, guiding them through the end-to-end journey from current-state project-based delivery to a mature product-centric operating model.

The role combines transformation consulting, governance design, agile coaching, operating model implementation, and stakeholder management. The Transformation and Governance Lead works closely with Product Stream Leads, Platform Line Leads, Product Group Managers, Product Strategy and Operations Managers (PSOMs), Agile Coaches, Learning and Capability teams, Tooling teams, and other Office of the CIDO stakeholders.

This position is instrumental in helping product & platform teams understand the “why,” “what,” and “how” of POET, while ensuring readiness across People, Process, Tools, and Governance dimensions.

Key Responsibilities

1. Transformation Leadership: Serve as the primary Delivery Excellence partner for assigned product streams and platform lines, leading their transition to the Product Operating Model.

2. POET Enablement: Educate stakeholders on POET principles, operating model concepts, roles, governance structures, and expected transformation outcomes.

3. Current-State to North-Star Roadmap: Assess current maturity and define structured transformation roadmaps aligned to the Crawl–Walk–Run journey.

4. People, Process, Tools, and Governance Readiness: Guide teams in preparing across organizational design, delivery processes, toolchain setup, and governance mechanisms.

5. Team Design and Role Clarity: Advise on team composition and role definitions, including Product Managers, PSOMs, Product Group Managers, Scrum Masters, and engineering teams.

6. Governance Design and Execution: Support implementation of governance forums, metrics, QPM, annual planning, maturity assessments, and reporting cadences.

7. Toolchain Coordination: Coordinate with tooling teams to enable required solutions and ensure alignment between operating model design and execution tooling.

8. Asset Development and Maintenance: Create and maintain transformation assets such as playbooks, governance templates, maturity models, operating model documentation, and implementation guides.

9. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Agile Coaching, Learning & Capability, Digital Adoption, Portfolio Excellence, Architecture, and other stakeholders to deliver integrated support.

10. Stakeholder Coaching and Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and teams, providing recommendations to address transformation challenges and accelerate adoption.

11. Maturity Assessment and Continuous Improvement: Evaluate adoption progress, identify gaps, and recommend corrective actions to advance organizational maturity.

12. Problem Solving and Risk Management: Anticipate risks, resolve complex issues, and remove barriers impacting transformation progress.

Qualifications and Eligibility Criteria

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Technology, Business, or related field (required)
  • Master’s degree (MBA or equivalent) preferred

Experience

  • 8+ years of experience in transformation, program management, consulting, governance, or agile delivery
  • Experience in large-scale enterprise transformation initiatives
  • Strong understanding of product operating models and agile ways of working
  • Experience in retail, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or related industries preferred
  • Experience working in global, matrixed organizations
