Roles & Responsibilities

  • University degree (BSc/MSc/PDEng/PhD) in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Technologies, or a related technical field.
  • Experience in software engineering on embedded platforms, with interest in embedded processors and developing board support packages (BSPs), kernels, and images.
  • Willingness to learn new technical skills, dive into new systems and languages, and integrate individual system building blocks; excellent English communication (verbal and written).
  • Knowledge of electronics design and familiarity with the semiconductor/automotive field is a plus.

Requirements:

  • Help to define and develop innovative demos, proof-of-concepts and system solutions using NXP automotive chips and software solutions.
  • Contribute to the development and integration of software in the project to enable application proof-of-concepts and system studies.
  • Work on applications such as ADAS, in-vehicle networks, connectivity modules, and E/E vehicle architectures.
  • Be ready to explore automotive standards, analysis and simulation tools, innovative solutions and solving problems of future vehicles.

Job description

Join the System Incubator team as (junior) automotive system engineer to help us define and develop innovative demos, proof-of-concepts, and system solutions using NXP’s automotive chips and software solutions.

Your Responsibilities

  • Help to define and develop innovative demos, proof-of-concepts and system solutions using NXP automotive chips and software solutions.

  • Contribute to the development and integration of software in the project to enable application proof-of-concepts and system studies.

  • Applications you will work on can be (amongst others) ADAS, in-vehicle networks, connectivity modules, and E/E vehicle architectures.

  • Be ready to explore automotive standards, analysis and simulation tools, innovative solutions and solving problems of future vehicles.

  • The job requires interaction with other NXP teams and potentially external partners.

Your profile

To be successful in this role you have:

  • University (of applied sciences) degree: BSc, MSc, PDEng or PhD in a technical specialism, like Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Automotive Technologies, or equally relevant.

  • Experience in software engineering on embedded platforms.

  • Interest and willingness to work with embedded processors.

  • Curiosity into how different building blocks play a role in a bigger system.

  • Interest in hardware evaluation boards, building board support packages, kernels, and images.

You might also have:

  • Knowledge of Electronics design which helps to solve issues on the intermediate layer HW-SW.

  • Familiarity with semiconductor/automotive field.

Furthermore, you are:

  • Willing and ready to pick up new technical skills and dive into new systems and languages.

  • Able to integrate individual system building blocks.

  • Excellent in communication in English (verbal /written).

  • Comfortable in working in/with multi-cultural projects/teams.

  • A good team player and communicator.
