Requirements:

  • Create and manage staff schedules using staffing technology to meet department needs, including preliminary, daily and long-range planning, and process schedule requests.
  • Process and reconcile timecards using staffing technology, including adjustments, trades, and PTO, in alignment with timecard guidelines and payroll processing; resolve payroll disputes with the payroll service center.
  • Generate accurate staffing reports, assist with rotating weekend call shifts, and perform staffing coordination tasks as needed while providing administrative support and maintaining standard work.
  • Attend, participate in, and may lead department huddles; escalate questions to senior Resource Support Coordinators or department leaders and maintain processes.

Job Summary:

The Resource Support Coordinator supports daily operations by creating accurate staff schedules and managing timecards. You ensure compliance with union contracts and scheduling guidelines while providing reliable support to staff and leadership—helping care teams stay focused on patient care.

Key Position Details:

  • 1.0 FTE (80 hours per two-week pay period)

Job Description:

Creates schedules and manages timecards for supported departments in accordance with staffing and scheduling guidelines. Supports daily staffing office functions.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Scheduling Responsibilities.
    • Utilizes staffing technology to generate preliminary, daily and long-range staff schedules to meet department needs in accordance with staffing and scheduling guidelines.
    • Uses electronic staffing technology to process staff schedule requests.
    • Becomes familiar with the use of position control and how it relates to hiring and schedule impact.
    • Implements annual scheduling processes for following year.
    • May schedule and track employee’s required education.
  • Timecard Responsibilities.
    • Uses staffing technology to process timecards in compliance of timecards guidelines including; timecards adjustments, trades, code according to the system acuity tool and paid time off processing.
    • Inputs, updates, and reconciles timecards for accurate payroll processing.
    • Help employees resolves payroll disputes in conjunction with the payroll service center.
    • Reviews closely with unit leadership any variances pertaining to unit budget impacted by timecards.
  • Staffing Responsibilities
    • Functions in the Staffing Coordinator role when needed, at least one time per month (An exception may be made for Resource Support Coordinators already in the role with discussion with manager.)
    • Generates accurate and timely reports.
    • Rotates weekend call shifts to cover staffing.
  • Department Responsibilities
    • Attends, participates, and may lead huddles when appointed.
    • Provides administrative and operational support for routine business support tasks and activities.
    • Escalates questions to senior level Resource Support Coordinators or department leaders
    • Maintains standard work and processes identified in department.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Qualifications

  • Must be 18 years of age with education and/or experience needed to meet required functional competencies as listed on the job description
  • 2 to 5 years basic Computer skills, such as knowledge of Windows, Word and Excel


Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Associate's or Vocational degree
  • 2 to 5 years experience working in a fast-paced medical environment with the ability to identify priorities, work independently, problem solve and multi-task
  • 2 to 5 years Staffing Office Experience

Pay Range

Pay Range: $23.22 to $31.83 per hour

The pay described reflects the base hiring pay range. Your starting rate would depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable). Shift, weekend and/or other differentials may be available to increase your pay rate for certain shifts or work.
