Roles & Responsibilities

Master's degree in Counseling or Clinical Psychology with registration in the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA).
Experience with trauma-related cases in psychiatric hospitals, mental health clinics, or similar settings, with at least 300 clinical hours post-master's degree.
Proficiency in evidence-based therapies (e.g., CBT) and related modalities (Motivational Interviewing, DBT, SFBT) and knowledge of the Critical Incident Stress Programme (CISP).
Languages: English and Afrikaans; willingness to occasional onsite work; preferred background in EAP, adult counseling, or coaching managerial roles.

Requirements:

Provide 1-on-1 telehealth or onsite mental health support for Intellect's clients.
Address a range of clinical cases, including depression, anxiety, trauma, eating disorders, and more.
Partner with the internal clinical team to improve the platform and client programs.
Deliver CISP (Critical Incident Stress Programme) virtually or onsite as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications: Master's degree in Counseling or Clinical Psychology
Skilled in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy or other evidence-based approaches (e.g., Motivational Interviewing, DBT, SFBT) and CISP (Critical Incident Stress Program)
License: Must be registered in Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA)
Experience: A minimum of 300 clinical hours post-master's degree
Experience: with trauma-related cases in psychiatric hospitals, mental health clinics, or similar settings
Languages: Proficiency in English and Afrikaans
Preferred Background: Prior experience with EAP, adult counseling, or coaching managerial roles
Flexibility: Openness to occasional onsite work, if necessary, is a plus
