Responsibilities

  • Act as Security Partner in Canada to support Account Management and Business Development, win significant new logos, strengthen partnerships, and position International SOS as a trusted security advisor for Canada and Americas National Accounts.
  • Lead and support security consulting and managed services opportunities, including bids, tenders and RFPs; collaborate with Digital and Content teams to deliver integrated security and medical solutions.
  • Contribute to strategic planning and go-to-market initiatives; participate in Canada leadership activities and drive growth of strategic accounts and new business.
  • Represent International SOS externally through professional forums and thought leadership; develop client networks, support crisis management readiness, and provide regional market insights.

We are seeking a Bilingual (English-French) Security Director to join the team in Canada. This is a remote position, located in the metropolitan areas of Montreal, Toronto or Ottawa, with frequent travel within the region.

 

As the lead security professional and advisor to Intl.SOS supporting the commercial teams in Canada and our Americas National Accounts, the Security Partner will drive revenue growth primarily of health security subscription services, as well as support the initial scoping of security consulting, training, and managed services. The role provides direct support to International SOS’s distribution channel to drive customer satisfaction and profitable growth.

 

The Security Partner will also act as the primary security peer and trusted advisor to our clients in this geography/ and or other distribution (industry, etc). The Security Partner will be responsible for building on existing relationships and / or creating new ones within the client ecosystem to become a key advisor and strengthen relationships.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Support and drive commercial growth strategies:

  • Act as Security Partner in Canada to support the Account Management and Business Development teams to win significant new logos and to further strengthen current partnerships with key clients, to elevate Workforce Resilience programs and security consulting solutions to enhance their programs and to advance International SOS to trusted advisor status for key security clients in Canada and Americas National Accounts.
  • Support Business Development Managers and Account Managers to retain and strengthen our current partnership with clients.
  • Act as the subject matter expert during complex new business opportunities (including bids, tenders and RFPs), to partner with Digital and Content teams to support in the delivery of digital solutions demos and to demonstrate International SOS security capabilities as part of an integrated solution with medical capabilities and digital enablers.
  • Provide input to Security Consulting and Managed Services solution design and innovation in support of the Consulting & Solutions global agenda, bringing market input and experience to solution development and design.

 

Develop and Drive Consulting & Solutions Growth

  • Provide professional security expertise to drive consulting opportunities in Canada, National Accounts and other regions, and global/cross border engagements with clients and prospects.
  • Collaborate with the regional Consulting & Solutions Practice identifying and scoping opportunities and work on solution design, ensuring it meets the needs of the client
  • Collaborate with the regional Consulting & Solutions Practice during the delivery phase to ensure the task meets the needs of the client and enhances their overall relationship with International SOS

 

Strategic planning:

  • As a key member of the Canada leadership team, to actively participate and contribute to the distribution strategy and business plans for the region.
  • Co-develop and co-own go to market and expansion plans to drive new business and retention and growth of strategic accounts with Canada commercial leadership team.

 

Represent International SOS

  • Represent International SOS in professional forums and in the media in Canada.
  • Support the design, promotion, and delivery of marketing & thought leadership materials relevant to consulting security clients in Canada
  • Develop strong peer networks through associations, contacts and working relationships with clients. Actively participate in association events in Canada, advocating for International SOS
  • Be the voice of security in the country within International SOS, providing insight on trends, themes, and areas of focus.

 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Advocate for Canada based clients through localisation and driving innovation of services.
  • Provide local market, customer, and competitor insight.
  • Play a supporting role on the Americas Crisis Management Team – providing support and advice as required
  • Be prepared to be physically seconded to the Philadelphia Security Centre, up to one week per quarter

Requirements:

Required Skills and Knowledge

  • Knowledge of field and/ or corporate security
  • Knowledge of planning, developing, and delivering security consulting solutions; business development experience advantageous
  • Risk and crisis management experience; appropriate certification advantageous
  • Strong demonstratable understanding of security and risk mitigation concepts
  • Effective communication skills

  • Experience in high or extreme risk environments advantageous

 

Desirable Work Experience

  • Experience in security: field security, corporate security, consulting, military, police, intelligence, NGO, disaster management or relevant field of academia
  • Executive Protection, Security Operations Center, Crisis Management, Travel Risk Management, Intelligence, Security Planning
  • Client management experience
  • Business related experience advantageous
  • Extensive international travel experience

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in security, politics, international relations, law enforcement, criminal science, disaster management or related field

Travel Requirements:

  • Frequent (25%+) Regional and some international travel dependent on business needs
  • Willingness to work outside of normal duty hours, in support of client and operational requirements #Americas
