Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for Salesforce and API testing across all testing scenarios
  • Design and execute automated API tests (REST/SOAP), validate endpoints, and ensure reliability across environments
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps) and manage test artifacts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create test strategy, test plans, test scenarios, and report defects (Jira/TestRail)

Job description

This is a remote position.

Salesforce Java Automation QA:
8+ yrs
Remote
2pm to 11pm, 4hrs overlap with US Client

Customer will use automation in all testing scenarios so resources must be proficient

Salesforce experience is a MUST
Good understanding of Salesforce metadata, configuration, objects, fields, automation, and security model.
Experience with Data Loader, Workbench, and other Salesforce data/metadata tools.
Solid understanding of OWD, Sharing Settings, Roles, Profiles, and Permission Sets.
Experience performing Integration Testing, especially API-based (REST/SOAP).
Working knowledge of Metadata API and its impact on deployments/testing.
Hands-on experience with Salesforce CRM (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud) is a plus.

Core Technical Skills:
Programming Languages: Strong proficiency in Java, Python, JavaScript, or C# for writing automation scripts.
Strong API Testing Tools: Expertise in Postman, REST Assured, Karate, and similar tools for REST API validation and automation.
Automation Frameworks: Hands-on experience with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, TestNG, JUnit, and BDD frameworks like Cucumber or SpecFlow.
CI/CD Integration: Ability to integrate automated tests into pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
Version Control: Familiarity with Git, Bitbucket, and branching strategies for collaborative development.
Database Knowledge: SQL for data validation and backend testing.


Testing Expertise:
API Automation: Design and execute automated API tests, validate endpoints, and ensure reliability across environments.
Functional & Regression Testing: Strong understanding of test types including smoke, sanity, and integration testing.
Defect Management: Experience with tools like Jira and TestRail for tracking and reporting.
Soft Skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork.
Able to create test strategy, test plan, test scenarios, test cases.
Good understanding of Database.
Excellent written and verbal communications.
Creative problem solver and quick learner.
Be able to work independently or collaborate with others on project team
