  • Provide hands on lab support (in Flex or the customer lab) locally, which could range from 10% to 60% of the time, depending on customer needs/design cycles
  • Review customer requirements, identify and communicate potential issues and provide best fit solutions matching Flex capability and customers' specifications
  • Define initial project/product scope and prepare project plans to meet customers' expectations

Job Summary

To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a/an Principal Field Applications Engineer located in California Bay area, Remote.

Reporting to the Director, Field Applications the Principal Field Applications Engineer will be accountable for providing technical guidance and information to customers on a pre-sales and post-sales basis to enable delivery of design, fabrication, and assembly goals, per customers’ expectations.

What a typical day looks like:

  • Provide best in class support by closing customer technical support questions related to manufacturing capabilities, including design, fabrication and assembly abilities.
  • Provide hands on lab support (in Flex or the customer lab) locally, which could range from 10% to 60% of the time, depending on customer needs/design cycles.
  • Review customer requirements, identify and communicate potential issues and provide best fit solutions matching Flex capability and customers’ specifications.
  • Contribute to development of complex product roadmaps by providing field feedback to the design teams.
  • Define initial project/product scope and prepare project plans to meet customers’ expectations.
  • Develop and present technical seminars for customers and sales personnel to promote employer's manufacturing capabilities, services, available technologies, manufacturing process and quality.
  • Prepare and maintain required documentation.

Pay Range (Applicable to California)

$153,500.00 USD - $211,000.00 USD Annual
