We’re looking for a part-time Slot Game Mathematician to join our iGaming team and help design and balance math models for slot and crash-style games for both Stake-focused releases and our own gaming platform.

We’re looking for someone practical and product-oriented - not just “RTP calculations”, but understanding how math affects player emotions, retention, volatility feel, bonus pacing, and overall gameplay experience.

What we’re looking for:

• 3–5+ years of experience in slot game mathematics or casino game balancing

• Strong understanding of RTP, volatility, hit rate, payout distribution, max win balancing

• Experience designing or tuning slot math models for production games

• Experience working with slot providers, game studios, or iGaming products

• Understanding of modern slot mechanics: Free Spins, Buy Bonus, multipliers, progression systems, bonus modes, etc.

• Experience with crash / instant-win math is a strong plus

• Experience designing math specifically for Stake platform is a plus, but not required

• Ability to work closely with product, game design, and development teams

• Understanding of player psychology and “game feel”, not just pure statistics

• Experience preparing simulations and balancing payout curves

• Ability to analyze and improve existing math models

• Comfortable working in startup-like environment with fast iterations and experimentation

What the role is about:

• Design, calculate, and balance math models for slot and crash-style games.

• Define RTP, volatility, hit frequency, payout distribution, max win logic, and bonus pacing.

• Create engaging gameplay loops that balance profitability with strong player experience and retention.

• Work closely with product, game design, and development teams to align game math with creative vision and technical implementation.

• Prepare simulations, analyze payout curves, and validate game balance through large-scale testing.

• Analyze existing game math models and propose improvements based on player behavior and product goals.

• Support rapid prototyping and experimentation in a fast-paced startup environment.

• Collaborate on the development of games for both external platforms and internal gaming products.
