Position Overview

Autodesk is seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead product strategy and execution for Safety workflows in Forma Build, while helping shape the broader direction for Quality and related field workflows across construction operations.

This is a highly strategic product leadership role for a PM who can define direction for a critical workflow area while ensuring strong execution against goals and commitments with development teams. You will work closely across R&D, Strategy, and GTM to identify high-value opportunities, align investments, and bring differentiated workflow solutions to market for construction customers.

The right candidate brings deep expertise in construction field operations and can translate industry knowledge into clear product strategy, roadmap direction, and execution priorities. This role requires a strong understanding of Safety workflows and meaningful knowledge of Quality and other field-related construction workflows, along with the ability to operate effectively in a complex SaaS environment. The ideal candidate also understands how to leverage AI to accelerate product development and improve the effectiveness of discovery, planning, prioritization, and delivery.

This role is well suited for a principal-level PM who can operate at multiple altitudes: setting long-term vision, influencing cross-functional strategy, guiding roadmap decisions, and staying close enough to execution to ensure teams deliver meaningful outcomes. This role is hybrid in Boston, MA.

Responsibilites

  • Define and drive product strategy for Safety workflows in Forma Build, aligning near-term delivery with longer-term platform and business goals

  • Help shape the broader roadmap for Quality and adjacent field workflows to ensure a cohesive field experience across construction operations

  • Partner closely with R&D, Strategy, and GTM to align priorities, investments, sequencing, and market positioning

  • Translate deep understanding of construction Safety and field workflows into clear product direction, roadmap priorities, and outcome-based execution plans

  • Work closely with engineering and design leaders to ensure the team executes effectively against commitments, milestones, and strategic goals

  • Drive alignment across multiple product, engineering, and business stakeholders with different priorities and constraints

  • Identify opportunities to simplify, differentiate, and scale Safety and field workflow solutions within Forma Build and the broader Autodesk construction platform

  • Define success metrics and use customer insight, product data, and business context to guide prioritization and evaluate impact

  • Partner with GTM teams to support packaging, positioning, launches, and adoption of Safety-related capabilities

  • Leverage AI-enabled practices and tools where appropriate to accelerate product discovery, requirements development, decision-making, and team effectiveness

  • Act as a subject matter expert and thought partner for construction Safety, Quality, and field workflow strategy

Minimum Qualifications

  • 10+ years of product management experience, including ownership of complex SaaS, platform, or workflow-driven products

  • Proven track record setting strategy and driving execution across a significant product domain or across multiple teams

  • Deep experience partnering across R&D, Strategy, and GTM to bring products from concept through execution and adoption

  • Strong knowledge of enterprise SaaS development and delivery

  • Demonstrated ability to ensure teams execute effectively against product goals, roadmaps, and organizational commitments

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment across organizations

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with experience connecting customer needs, product investments, and business outcomes

  • Deep expertise in the construction industry, especially field operations and contractor workflows

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong domain knowledge in Safety workflows, with solid experience in Quality and other field-related construction workflows

  • Experience building products for construction teams in areas such as inspections, observations, issue management, compliance, daily execution, field reporting, or operational data capture

  • Experience working on workflow-heavy enterprise products across web and mobile with multiple stakeholders, role types, and integration points

  • Experience collaborating across product, engineering, marketing, sales, customer success, and strategy teams to deliver and scale complex solutions

  • Experience leveraging AI to accelerate product development, including customer insight synthesis, requirements development, prioritization, prototyping, experimentation, or team productivity

  • Practical understanding of how AI can improve both product team effectiveness and customer-facing workflow experiences
