Minimum 2+ years’ experience in residential drafting, CAD documentation, or a similar role
Strong proficiency in AutoCAD with experience producing residential construction drawings
Familiarity with Australian residential construction standards and council requirements is preferred
Diploma or certification in Drafting, Architecture, Building Design, or a related field is preferred

This is a remote position.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare residential plans, layouts, and construction drawings using AutoCAD
Convert sketches, mark-ups, and design notes into clear and accurate CAD documentation
Update and revise drawings based on client, designer, or project feedback
Assist with concept design development and preliminary sketch work for new residential projects
Maintain organised drawing files, documentation, and version control records
Review drawings for dimensional accuracy, consistency, and completeness before issue
Coordinate drawing updates and ensure drafting standards are maintained across projects
Support the project team with drafting-related tasks and documentation requirements
Requirements

Ability to interpret sketches, mark-ups, architectural notes, and design concepts accurately

Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple revisions and deadlines
Experience in maintaining drawing registers, version control, and project documentation
Good communication skills and ability to collaborate with designers, builders, and project stakeholders
Experience with SketchUp, Revit, or other 3D modelling software is advantageous
Familiarity with Australian residential construction standards and council requirements is preferred
