  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert in the development of annual incentive compensation and oversight of benefit plans and stock compensation design with focus on retention and fiduciary responsibility
  • Plan and oversee administration of health and welfare programs (medical, dental, life, STD/LTD), 401(k), ESPP, and communicate compensation and benefits plans across the organization

The annual salary for this position will be $280,000 - $310,000 with 40% bonus eligibility.

Summary

The Vice President, Global Total Rewards leads the development and administration of all compensation and benefit plans, policies and programs targeted at retaining the company's competitive position and maximizing teammates’ productivity, engagement, and retention. This position is a critical strategic and operational business partner. The Vice President, Global Total Rewards will collaborate closely with senior business leaders and HR Business Partners to translate business strategy into meaningful Total Rewards strategies that meet the company’s short and long-term needs both inside the US as well as across the O&M global footprint including LATAM, EMEA, and APAC. The ideal candidate should possess senior-level experience developing compensation philosophies for publicly traded companies with complex and matrixed organizational structures along with experience integrating companies through M&A activity.

Core Responsibilities

  • Under the leadership of the CHRO, develop and align the total rewards strategy to the goals of the company; ensure it is positioned to attract, motivate, and retain teammates.
  • Influence direction and strategy development through ongoing communications with senior leadership including the Board of Directors
  • Lead and develop compensation and benefits teams, encouraging ongoing development to keep current on training, practices, trends and compliance matters to provide a high level of expertise to business
  • Serves as Subject Matter Expert in the development of annual incentive compensation and other incentive plans, and oversight of benefit plans and plan design
  • Oversee the design and administration of stock compensation plans with a focus on retention and fiduciary responsibility
  • Plan, develop, and oversee administration of health and welfare benefit programs, such as medical plans; dental; supplement life & accident; STD and LTD programs; and accidental death policies, 401(k), and ESPP
  • Work with HR leaders to design and coordinate the communications of all the compensation and benefits plans
  • Review current compensation programs; lead the proposal, development, and implementation of necessary changes to align with our global business
  • Continuous improvement to job architecture and career pathing
  • Lead successful annual compensation planning including the execution of base salary, bonus, awards and all related communications and administration
  • Provide thought leadership to business units on compensation issues including new hire packages, performance recognition, incentive plans, retention arrangements and compensation structure
  • In partnership with HR and Finance, establish compensation budgets and guidelines for global locations
  • Establish and maintain alignment between performance management and succession planning processes and pay programs

Qualifying Experience

  • 10-15 years of compensation and benefits design and planning, including:
  • Proven managerial experience as a global senior level total rewards leader
  • Superior communication skills at all levels
  • Large, publicly traded company experience
  • Executive Compensation
  • BA, MBA, or BS from an accredited institution
  • Ability to travel as needed (position can be remote) with preference on Richmond, VA
