The Implementation Lead services new accounts through ownership of the implementation process for new clients. The Implementation Lead is responsible for the overall success of the new client onboarding and implementation process, coordinating effectively with internal and external contacts to keep teams on track, ensure completion of necessary tasks, solve for new situations and processes, and establish a positive relationship with the new client and their broker.
Duties & Responsibilities
Leads the implementation project for assigned new clients
Leads weekly implementation calls, assigning topics to internal Subject Matter Experts, and facilitating forward progress through the agenda
Identifies areas needing ad-hoc meetings and project plans not otherwise addressed through standard process
Collaborates effectively with internal and external contacts to ensure teams have the information needed to complete their assigned tasks
Ability to work effectively in a fast paced and high pressure environment
Ability to take on a leadership role to guide all parties through implementation including collaboration with department managers and directors as necessary.
Prepares agendas for weekly calls
Coordinate internal/external meetings and webinars.
Creates workflow and materials/communications for clients regarding the implementation process.
Assists customers, brokers, carriers and company personnel with questions pertaining to group health benefit plan implementations and implementations of future products. Resolves problems as they arise.
Organizes and facilitates group meetings to ensure effective communication between company personnel, brokers, carriers and group contacts.
Attends off-site client meetings as necessary.
Ability to learn and understand basic information on all Allegiance products/departments
Coordinates with all Allegiance departments to assist with the tasks associated with implementation
Contributes to the daily workflow with regular and punctual attendance.
Other functions may be assigned as business conditions change.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business or related field preferred; high school graduation or equivalence required.
3+ consecutive years of work in a clerical position in the insurance industry in the absence of a bachelor’s degree, preferred.
Excellent oral and written communication skills required.
Ability to prioritize problems and responsibilities.
Extensive PC skills, including Windows, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Adobe.
Ability to learn applications of the claims processing software as is necessary.
High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others.
Ability to organize and recall large amounts of information including interactions with employees, agents, plan participants and clients.
Detail Oriented and ability to set and meet deadlines and document information effectively for internal and external parties.
Ability to read, analyze and interpret benefit summary plan descriptions, insurance documents and regulations.
Working knowledge of self-funding, excess loss coverage and insurance products such as Life, AD&D, STD and LTD.
Knowledge of medical terminology.
Ability to project a professional image and positive attitude in any work environment.
Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Ability to be flexible, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Ability to analyze and solve problems with professionalism and patience, and to exercise good judgment when making decisions.
Ability to operate typical office equipment.
Working knowledge of general office procedures.
