Roles & Responsibilities

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Certified Paramedic with State Compact License (or ability to obtain).
  • CAOHC Certification (or ability to obtain) and knowledge of OSHA guidelines.
  • Experience in Occupational Health and Wellness Programs with strong communication, public speaking, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; ability to work independently and travel up to 75%.

Requirements:

  • Provide biometric wellness screenings and health assessments for employees and spouses at work locations across the United States using the Mobile Wellness Unit.
  • Deliver education and individual health coaching; promote the Wellbeing program and ensure HIPAA-compliant confidentiality; enter and maintain health data in Electronic Medical Records.
  • Conduct medical surveillance assessments (audiograms, respiratory clearance, fit testing) and perform data analysis to identify trends and develop individualized wellness action plans; maintain active licensure.
  • Coordinate logistics for the Mobile Wellness Unit, assist the wellness coordinator, manage materials and budget, schedule travel, and communicate route schedules with site representatives, drivers, and stakeholders.

Job Description

To support this mission, Syngenta's HSE Team is seeking a Health Assessment Specialist in Greensboro, NC. This role will manage the Mobile Wellness Unit (RV) that provides biometric wellness screenings and health assessment to employees and spouses at their work locations across US.

This role supports employees through wellness screenings, educational health coaching, and promotion of the Wellbeing program. In addition, the Health Assessment Specialist will be responsible for completing medical surveillance compliance evaluations for our remote employees.

Accountabilities:

  • Provide wellness screenings and health assessment to employees and spouses at their work locations across US.
  • Education and individual health coaching to employees/spouses.
  • Provide medical surveillance assessments to employees such as audiograms, respiratory clearance and fit testing.
  • Assist the wellness coordinator in the implementation and development of the wellness program to employees.
  • Ensure the confidentiality of employee medical records and personal information per HIPAA guidelines.
  • Enter and maintain health data in Electronic Medical Records database.
  • Collaborate with health services staff to promote health education, medical screenings, and medical monitoring for employees/spouses executive reporting within HIPAA guidelines.
  • Perform annual data analysis for remote employees and report trends and develop individualized action plans to help improve employee wellness.
  • Maintain mandatory certification and education to sustain active license in applicable states.
  • Serves as coordinator in ordering/obtaining/shipping materials.
  • Supports budget management and tracks expenses.
  • Schedules travel such as airfares, car rentals, and hotels.
  • Develops and communicates route schedule with site reps, driver, and stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) or Certified Paramedic.
  • State Compact License (or able to obtain).
  • Preferred candidates should have experience in the Occupational Health and Wellness Programs.
  • CAOHC Certification (or able to obtain).
  • Preferred candidates should have experience with and knowledge of OSHA guidelines.
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated.
  • Public speaking in large or small group settings.
  • Strong professional and organizational skills.
  • Excellent physical assessment, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Communication skills, both verbal and written - proficiency with computers (i.e. Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to work clinic hours and be on call.
  • Must be able to travel by car or plane.
  • Ability to walk for long distances, which may require walking of stairs.
  • Travel Requirement approximately 75%, such as some weekend travel.
