Job objective:
Serve as a committed resource in the assigned territory to support all DOT/Driver Compliance and Driver Safety initiatives for 4,000 company drivers. Ensure files and programs align with Federal regulations and Ferguson policies and procedures. Essential duties and responsibilities:
- Monitor accident reporting processes and build accident files for all DOT reportable accidents in the assigned territory. Collect and maintain all relevant accident information, including documentation, telematics data, reports, and pictures. Produce and distribute relevant reports.
- Use monthly DOT Citations Report to centralize collection and accountability for DOT Roadside Inspections. Develop and implement corrective action plans. Collect and maintain proof of defect resolution and repair. Raise non-compliance instances. Produce and distribute relevant reports.
- Monitor camera-based driver behavior recognition. Liaise with location management to hold drivers accountable for their driving behavior. Facilitate mentoring and counseling of inappropriate driving behaviors. Assign training as appropriate. Raise non-compliance instances. Produce and distribute relevant reports.
- Centralize oversight and reporting of driver adherence within the Telematics system, including DVIR and eHOS adherence. Review, monitor, and develop corrective action plans for non-compliance.
- Collaborate with location management on corrective action plans based on individual driver performance. Achieve 100% DVIR completion in the assigned territory.
- Actively collaborate with location management on Telematics training; instruct managers on how to effectively operate the Motive system.
- Review driver profiles in Motive for accuracy and completeness. Perform necessary updates and bring up non-compliance instances. Produce and distribute relevant reports.
- Ensure driver responsibility standards are upheld across all DOT programs and processes.
- Monitor Safe Driving Behavior Scores and enforce accountability. Identify behavior issues and mentor for improvement. Engage with location management on driver accountability measures. Raise non-compliance instances. Produce and distribute relevant reports.
- Facilitate Fleet policy adherence and guideline sharing within the assigned territory.
General
- Initial DOT/Driver contact for branches within the assigned territory.
- Actively participate in monthly calls within the assigned territory, sharing progress updates and addressing field needs or issues.
- Generate and share pertinent reports within the designated area.
- Examine data using different systems and formulate corrective action plans as needed.
- Report trends, efficiencies, and deficiencies across the assigned territory. Raise concerns as appropriate.
- Assist in the development and execution of key Fleet/DOT projects.
- Prepare and present reports to management as needed.
- Support corporate programs, goals, and initiatives.
- Work overtime as needed.
- Maintain timely and open communication with the direct manager.
- Abide by all policies, rules, and regulations of the company, including applicable safety rules and procedures.
- Represent the company professionally, ensuring quality customer service.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
- Previous driver management experience strongly preferred.
- 1-3 years of Telematics experience.
- Experience with Getoab preferred.
- Familiarity with DOT/FMCSA regulations, particularly regarding DVIR and eHOS.
- Knowledge of company operations.
- Ability to research and interpret federal regulations.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent judgment and decision-making ability.
- Strong communication skills (oral and written).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Physical requirements:

ATTENDANCE REQUIREMENTS: Regular and consistent attendance is mandatory, including arriving at the scheduled time daily.
