We're looking for an Applications Informaticist to help support, optimize, and enhance our client's clinical and operational technology systems, including Epic EHR and other critical platforms. This role plays a key part in ensuring systems are efficient, user-focused, and seamlessly integrated into daily workflows while supporting the organization's commitment to delivering high-quality, inclusive care.

The Applications Informaticist partners cross-functionally with clinical, operational, and technical teams to analyze workflows, improve system functionality, and elevate the end-user experience. This highly collaborative position works closely with internal stakeholders, vendors, and leadership to drive system optimization, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

Requirements:

  • Advanced English level (B2/C1) to ensure fluent communication.
  • 5+ years of experience within a hospital or clinic IT and/or HIT setting.
  • 5+ years of experience working with Epic or similar health record.
  • Deep understanding of clinical, operations, and revenue cycle workflows and optimization.
  • Experience working with reporting and analytics tools such as SQL, Crystal Reports, Tableau, or similar platforms preferred.
  • Experience supporting clinical and operational healthcare systems preferred.
  • Epic certification or credentialing preferred, particularly in Ambulatory or related modules.
  • Proficiency with healthcare applications, EHR platforms, enterprise systems, and supporting databases.
  • Proven ability to analyze workflows, identify system gaps, document business and technical requirements, and support testing and implementation efforts.
  • Demonstrated experience optimizing application performance and improving end-user workflows across clinical and operational environments.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for clinical, operational, and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail and the ability to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for continuous improvement.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams including clinical staff, operations, IT, vendors, and leadership.
  • Strong technical proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office Suite, project tracking tools, database systems, and electronic medical record platforms preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate clinical and operational workflows to identify process improvement opportunities and recommend effective technology solutions.
  • Act as the primary liaison between end-users, IT teams, leadership, and third-party vendors to support system functionality and optimization efforts.
  • Provide day-to-day support for Epic EHR and other healthcare applications, including troubleshooting, issue resolution, and user assistance.
  • Configure, maintain, and enhance application systems to support efficient workflows and organizational objectives.
  • Monitor application performance, data quality, and system integrity while ensuring compliance with HIPAA and internal policies.
  • Participate in system implementations, upgrades, testing, and optimization projects to support ongoing operational improvements.
  • Generate and analyze reports, dashboards, and system data to support operational performance and informed decision-making.
  • Develop user training materials, conduct training sessions, and provide ongoing support to improve adoption and user experience.
  • Collaborate with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders to prioritize enhancements, streamline workflows, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in healthcare technology training or working in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) setting.
  • Medical, dental, and/or behavioral health background.
  • Experience with other HIT systems, such as Artera, Azara, Healthix, Abridge, Ritefax, XVWeb.
  • Experience with project management tools, such as Asana.
