QA Engineer

Role Overview:

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented QA Engineer with experience in functional testing, microservices validation and automation testing to join our team. You will work closely with our development team to identify and report bugs, verify fixes, and contribute to overall product quality improvement.

The position is remote, with a preference for candidates based in Bulgaria or Portugal.

Key Functions:

• Perform manual testing of web and mobile applications to ensure seamless user experience.
• Create, execute and maintain automation end-2-end test cases using Java.
• Perform API testing on backend microservices ( e.g. Postman, Swagger ).
• Work under SCRUM focusing on the sprint goals and priorities.
• Carry out exploratory testing to identify risk and edge cases.
• Document test results, defects, and other relevant information in Jira.
• Collaborate with the development team, including developers, product managers, and other QA team members, to understand project requirements.
• Participate in requirement analysis, test planning and test estimation activities to ensure thorough test coverage.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test matrices.
• Stay updated on industry best practices, testing methodologies, and emerging trends in software quality assurance.

Core Competencies and Required Background:

• 3+ years of experience in manual and automation testing
• Proficiency in automation testing frameworks like Selenium and Cucumber.
• Experience with Appium for mobile testing.
• Solid understanding of CI/CD systems (e.g. GoCD, Github Actions).
• Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing types and best practices.
• Experience in performance testing tools like jMeter/Gatling.
• Comprehensive knowledge in CFD trading
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently with minimal supervision.
