  • Diligently manage all HCP contracting tasks and activities assigned to the HCP Sponsor, ensuring informed participation and involvement in decision-making throughout the process
  • Cultivate and sustain strong relationships with internal support functions (e.g., Commercial Operations HCP, Finance, Legal, Corporate Compliance) to ensure contracts progress efficiently from initiation to execution and close-out
  • Gather, maintain, and report on future-period planned HCP engagements to assist teams with developing annual HCP budget/forecast needs

The HCP Contract Specialist role will focus on end-to-end contracting processes involving healthcare professionals (HCPs) and institutions. The HCP Contract Specialist will play a key role in the facilitation, oversight, and execution of all contractual and engagement activities (including but not limited to HCP consultancy, Steering committee, Advisory Board contracts), collaborating closely with internal partners across legal, finance, and compliance. Additionally, the role involves regular coordination with a designated counterpart on the Commercial HCP contracting team.

JOB DUTIES:

  • Acting as a delegate for the HCP contracting Sponsor, ensure that all business-facing and other process requirements / information is available and entered in the systems completely and in a timely manner to ensure efficient progression of all assigned HCP contracts
  • Diligently manage all HCP contracting tasks and activities assigned to the HCP Sponsor, ensuring their informed participation and involvement in decision-making throughout the process
  • Independently manage assigned business functions, ensuring continuous and active engagement to proactively address the HCP contractual needs of Sponsor stakeholders
  • Gather, maintain, and report on future-period planned HCP engagements to assist teams with developing annual HCP budget / forecast needs
  • Cultivate and sustain strong business relationships with internal support functions engaged in the HCP contracting process to ensure contracts progress efficiently and timely to execution and ultimately through close-out (e.g., Commercial Operations HCP team, Finance, Corporate Compliance, Legal, etc.)
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement throughout the HCP contract lifecycle and develop effective business cases along with initial ideas for potential solutions
  • Develop high-level subject matter expertise within assigned business functions to ensure a comprehensive understanding, enabling better anticipation of operational needs that may lead t
  • JOB REQUIREMENTS:
  • Outstanding customer service skills, with proven ability to interact effectively with all level’s of management and healthcare professionals
  • Exceptional attention to detail with significant project management skills
  • Proficient in defining, gathering and reporting key process metrics data to senior management and interested stakeholders
  • Significant relationship building skills
  • International HCP contracting familiarity
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to concisely define and articulate complex issues and/or findings
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Self-starter that can distill and appropriately report status and keep management appropriately informed
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to prioritize workload and the work of others

Pharmaceutical / Biotechnology knowledge, experience with Life / Health Sciences vendors preferred

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

The qualifications for the HCP Contract Specialist are:

  • 2+ years of experience in business operations, procurement, or contract administration-related function.
  • 2+ years healthcare industry experience
  • Bachelor’s degree required
