  • Collaborate with oncology physician offices, infusion centers, and radiation oncology offices to schedule patients, negotiating date and time while avoiding resource conflicts
  • Work closely with infusion center and radiation oncology leaders to maximize utilization of nursing and technician time, productivity, and resources
  • Coordinate special procedure needs with appropriate departments, staff, and external resources; ensure education is scheduled prior to chemotherapy or radiation therapy first appointment

Job Description:

  • Assesses patient acuity based on diagnosis and visit reason, calculating necessary treatment time using orders and consulting with relevant staff.

• Ability to use discretion when discussing personnel/patient related issues that are confidential in nature, responsive to ever-changing matrix of healthcare departments and hospital needs and acts accordingly. [Required]
• Mature judgment in dealing with patients, physicians, and insurance representatives. [Required]
• Ability to be responsive and able to perform without close supervision. [Required]
• Ability to listen and document notes simultaneously. [Required]
• Intermediate knowledge of personal computer applications and proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and OneNote. [Required]

Education:
• High School Grad or Equiv [Required]

Field of Study:
• in business or health related field.
